'76 - and NES all the way. It was the big console during Jr. High and early HS.

Born in '78. My most nostalgic era is the beginning of 16-bit. I was big on the NES in its heyday, but the explosion of shmups in the late '80's early '90's is my personal golden age.

Technically it'd be for the 2600/Inty/CV, but my main love is for the Classic Arcade quarter-sucking beasts. If offered 3 Arcade games of my choice in exchange for my entire collection, I might just do it.

MY collecting specialy is/was obtaing obscrure arcade translations for the Classic home systems: 2600 Rampage, Inty DK Jr. and Commando, the HES translations for C64, ect.

I'm 26 now. The game era I miss most is the days of the NES. I miss being home on a snow from school and playing Super Mario Bros. 3 all day.

I was born right at the beginning of '83. I started out on a Colecovision and never looked back, but the era that always gets to me the most is the good ol' 16-bit days.

    1976.

Played a little Atari 2600 as a real young one, but my best memories are NES and SNES, with Commodore 64 thrown in also.

1975. Age 30 is right around the corner.

Despite my O2 handle, I'm pretty much evenly split between Odyssey2, Atari 2600, and NES. The O2 and 2600 were my childhood systems... NES was the system of my teen years.

I too refered to gaming as "playing Nintendo" never "playing videogames". I was born in 1975, but the first system I could save up for and get was the NES. Seems odd now but I am most partial to the SNES. I think I have just as many SNES memories as NES memories, but I have to go with the SNES.
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!

    Born in 1974.

In particular it's the Arcade, 2600 day's on through to the NES/SMS era that I'm still quite fond of. I was a hardcore SMS freak till I played Super Mario Bros. But in anycase the Arcades and 2600 days of long ago that remain surpreme for me.

Of course I also enjoyed the 3DO, and the TG16 quite a bit also. And the SNES...

    1974 Famicom/Sega Mark III/Master System/Atari 7800/8 bit Computers

Tough to pick just one! I can understand why you put 8-bit computers in the group that you did, but it makes it hard for me since i don't really like any of the other systems in that group. Aside from 8-bit comps which are my favorite, I prefer either early 8-bit (2600/Intellivision/Colecovision), 16-bit or 32-bit (when it's 2-D).
