Default Prince of Persia or Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy?

Which was better in your opinion? I finally played Sphinx last night, and because it was just difficult enough, I would have to say that it out-POPed Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. The puzzles seem to make sense, and you don't die as much, even though the game was definitely inspired by Prince of Persia.

I haven't even gotten to the mummy yet, but Sphinx is an enjoyable character.

My only complain thus far with Sphinx is that the GameCube version requires 20 blocks on a memory card 59. WTF?
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

WoW.....your topic reminds me on gamefaqs forum (sorry).....

Sphinx IS great but I have my problems with human-animal hybrids
    they are so.....you know.....urgh
and the lion-human hybrid in the game is just as urgh as those creatures in this horrible movie feat. Marlon Brando(can't remember name.....on an island and stuff)
    The mummy(sp?) is cool though

but I would recommend PoP cause it's like Metroid Prime: A perfect translation from 2D into 3D.A great experience and GC version is the best.
just stay away from "Warrior within"(what's with all those dismembering, blood and gore?Bah....stupid brutality trend)

They're both excellent games! I haven't quite played thru sphinx but I enjoyed every minute of PoP.

I've almost finished Sphinx. I was actually thinking about doing one of my little reviews for it tomorrow.

Sphinx is very good, except that you once in a while run into parts that the game doesn't give you an idea of what to do. I was determined to play the game without a FAQ or guide, but after running around for more than 30 minutes at one point and not figuring anything out, I had to use one. The answer to the part was very simple, but even the FAQ said "I couldn't figure out what to do here for a while."

The humor and creativity of Sphinx is great though. I can't wait to finish it. If only the balance was a little more on (you'll also go from "not hard" to "nearly impossible" things every once in a while without going through middle of the road stuff first.)

I'll write more tomorrow. Prince of Persia is waiting for me to finish Sphinx to get played

I've gotten about halfway through each, and I like PoP better. The animation is better and the control is a bit more precise. Plus, the story so far is more interesting. Sphinx is a good game, but PoP is a GREAT game IMO. I'd recommend both though.

I recommend Prince of Persia. The combat, can get boring sometimes, but otherwise, the game is just so solid. The aerobatic parts are just sooo fun.

And PoP:Warrior Within is damned fun. Many intense moments.
