This is cool. Sony confirmed that the PSP will play user-generated video off of Memory Sticks. Seinfeld on the go! Porn on the go! Hell yeah! Now I can honestly see myself watching a crapload of video on this thing. LINK.

Don't have time to check out the video now (quick break at work), but definitely will do later. Thats awesome though...just adds another reason for me to get a PSP. Thanks for the info.
Hmm...this doesnt really pretain to the video. But it does pretain to the memory stick. Since you can save directly to the memory stick, could you put emulators or ROMs on this thing?
Oh...I do love me some porn on the go!
The PSP isn't a Wintel platform, so they'd have to be custom coded. It seems to me that Sony will have some authentication required to run code, and might concievably block code on the memory stick...we'll see.Originally Posted by Tank
Now if this happens, well you know me getting a PSP will be a must! Even if it doesn't, I'll most likely get one anyway...Originally Posted by Ed Oscuro
I find it sort of odd that people apparently get more hyped about the thought of playing old games via emulation on new systems than the system's new games themselves! Oh boy, well, guess you don't get let down when you stick to what you know.
The most fun I'm having with the DS right now is playing all my GBA carts (and my NES flashcart) on it. It's like going from composite video to component video.Originally Posted by Ed Oscuro
What I'd really love to see is a GBA emulator for the PSP. That would be delish.

Heh, well that does make sense I suppose.
Does anybody know what the max memory card size will be?
I think the hype is really in playing something that wasn't "meant" to be played on the said system. I can recall a time when I was just ecstatic over being able to play old PC Sierra games (Kings Quest..Leasure Suit Larry..etc) on the Dreamcast, as well as old Infocom games (Zork..etc). And being able to play Sega Master System games on the GBA was very cool as well.Originally Posted by Ed Oscuro
