It isn't funny, and the racial and gender stereotypes are grating..

BLAST AWAY AND GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ignoring any politically correctness stated above, i dont find it funny at all. the drawings sucked. the dialog was lame and anything that remotely resembled a joke quickly turned into something that made me want to shit in my mouth.

I agree with sirgeoph...didn't see any terribly offensive (to my way of thinking) stereotypes jumping out at me (the young lady seemed annoyed/in a state of disbelief; as most anybody would be when confronted by that barrage of nonsense, that's a stereotype?) but by goodness I'd rather go drown in some warm chocolate puddin' than read it again.
Not my kind of humor I guess. In fact, I don't see anything funny about it at all - its just a bunch of random stuff that references video games.
I found it pretty stupid
Yeah, I'm in the "that's just not funny" boat as well. Webcomics really have to do a lot to stand out these days since everyone and their dog decided they could make the best one ever. Achewood is good. This is not.
The artist just sent me a rough sketch of his next update

In Yashiro's defense (uh...sort of) these are really terrible examples of what Rowland's capable of. No, the strips in question are not funny. But believe it or not, Wigu is one of the best written humor strips on the internet right now, in my opinion. Plus, it's different (video games are rarely brought up, it's not two guys sitting around talking, etc).
Furthermore, the strip is neither sexist nor racist. I coudl find worse examples of each in any type of popular culture, and probably on these very boards. Promophile, emily, and thehistorian: please invest in stronger constiutions if you wish to live in a country where free speech is permitted. Thank you.
Gee, I didn't think it was that bad. Some webcomics are far more abysmal.

gah! and i missed it...I'm usually a good one for tasteless humour too....if anyone would mind pm'ing me a link to whatever this chaos was about i'd be muchly grateful 'kthx.
Actually I'd say we've expressed a good bit of free speech ourselves. I don't recall demanding that he pull the link down and burn it in a large pile with other "big brother banned" web cartoons. I offered my take on the page and then, let it be.Originally Posted by WiseSalesman

I didn't find the comic offensive. I didn't find funny either, but that's not the point. The point is, there are indeed far more offensive stuff out there and there's not need to rake our brains to find them.
That is terrible!... you need to be banned from Dp for this type of post...! Even though it was edited before i got alook at it!
But in the way of free speech, and other civil liberty's we are aloud, worldwide, here at DP there are alot of tightly wound people, regardless of issue be it, Gay, Racial etc, etc.. there are so many "PC" people here! thats what i get tired of!!
Let the whining continue!
