Default [PS1] PAL Rarity List (UPDATED 06-19-2006!!!!!)

Let's use this thread for creating a Playstation PAL rarity list based on Tinsair's excellent list, my humble collected data and al people who are willing to help.

    What we need:
    - SLES and SCES numbers of released games
    - release information
    - all game-specific data
    - rumored games
    - links where we can dig deeper

I would also like to know with which program the DPG was created to use it on our list.

So, let's begin with our digital archeology

    no problem, my friend

    about the Rumour mill:

it should be "Alarm Für Cobra 11" - a *very* good TV series from Germany about the Autobahn-police

Not to steal your thunder but I think it would be best to contact Joe before doing anything. The DP lists are made/maintained by someone referred as "experts", that's what makes DP Guide so great.

I'm certainly not saying you're not experts and no, I don't consider myself to be one. I haven't asked what exactly is required either, I've just made an assumption in my little mind that if one achieves the mysterious expert level, people will be in touch.

I do have an ongoing PAL release list project with ~1500 games listed with part numbers and such but it has been only to feed my interest about the subject, I haven't committed to anything.

we did that already, of course.

I can only speak for my part and I don't consider myself an expert, too. but having contributed (and still do) to the Atari 2600 PAL release list (which is a real pain in the a$$ with the pirated games), helping with the C64 Gamebase 64 project and owing a collection of at about 2000 videogames from the early years till today gives me a little bit of insight and knowledge.

Just found Supercross 2001, the picture has not got 2001 in the title but it is for that year by the title design.
So I called it Supercross (2001) on the list AtariBuff

I feel a bit like an ass but that's not uncommon.
Anyways, I can provide you the list I have but before I do that, it needs some cleaning as some of the entries and notes don't make sense to anyone else but me (if even that). This would be sometime during the holidays as I will have to study for my tests now.
In the mean time, I think it would be good to get to know each other better and figure out a better communications tool than the board to suit the purpose.

I have it listed under EA Sports Supercross (that's what's on the spine), SLES-03399, EN, Dev: Page 44 Studios, Pub: Electronic Arts, ©2000 Electronic Arts Inc.

For the Dev info, much of it can be taken from the US list. While publishers vary in EU/US, the developer doesn't change, and 60-70% (?) of the EU library was released in the US.

So now that everyone has each others mail address I suggest to communicate internal stuff that way. I have some spare time at hand till christmas so if I get enough data who knows when the first alpha build will be ready

the series TOTALLY SUCKS, sorry, but it's utter crap, really

well, back to topic, i alread contributed my Media Markt internal PSX list to davidleeroth a while ago, so he should have that stuff in his list

i made a list of >100 newer psx release a while ago (mainly >2001 releases), almost all 2004 releases in there for germany, i don't know when i will have time to type that in, it would be VERY helpful if you could mail me what you already have to xxxxx so i don't have to type in dozens of things already on the list

my list includes the name as seen on the box, publisher, developer, sles/sces

I would also like to know with which program the DPG was created to use it on our list.
ehhh what are you talking about, don't understand that at all...

oh yeah, i am able to track any upcoming releases for the PSX in Germany as i do work at Media Markt (except possible mail-order-exclusives of course) and i do have ~10 psx games i will post here soon, one question though, do you also include demo discs, promo versions and so on? i've got a promo of Grant Turismo and some demo discs, not many though, i've got a few (maybe a dozen) psx mags around and might be able to check for any rumour mill titles, but of course i need a list of what you have for that too...
