Strictly Tetris, with pieces containing four blocks apiece? Or falling-block games in general?
The latter is anyone's call, but for the former I'm going to toss out Tetripz and Nyet III. It'd be nice to find a versus game with decent AI that has some of the cool attacks I've seen in some versions, though.
(By the way, who remembers Tetris Blast?)

I love the original arcade version. And the original GB version. But after all, isnt it all just blocks falling?
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
I actually liked Tetris Worlds although most people didn't and here's why.
The rotating background and foregrounds as you advanced levels made it more difficult for me than simply picking up the speed. Speed and Movement on screen = Disaster For My Retinas
Tengen Tetris.
My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)

Aside from that one, I REALLY enjoy Magical Tetris Challenge for N64. Pretty fun game.
Now, THAT reminds me. I still need to snag a copy of Tetrisphere for N64... No matter how much I FREAKIN' SUCK at that damn game...

I've always been fond of Tetris DX for GBC. I'm crossing my fingers for a really smashing version for DS with tons of features (e.g. wireless 16 player games).
Two player mode in The Next Tetris. Very underrated.

16 players? Trying to "attack" someone would seem useless with that many people going at once. It would end up having to be a simple race to get the most lines.Originally Posted by davidbrit2

I agree with this statement, Capcom's Tetris with Mickey was excellentOriginally Posted by atomicthumbs
Yet my favorites are
Tetris and Dr. Mario SNES
Tetris B&W GameBoy
Tetris Blast on GameBoy was sweet
Tetris Attack was badass
Tetris NES or Tengen....I still cant make up my mind which is better sadly...
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
The original GB version. Bar none.
I'm VERY suprised that no one else is mentioning Tetris Plus. Y'know, the one with the little bastard that ALWAYS seems to find his way into the ceiling of spikes for a slow and painful DEATH!
Never played it? Pick it up! I think it hit the Greatest Hits collection, and at one point it was easily the most popular game rental at my Blockbuster.
V-Tetris for Virtual Boy!

HOLY CRAP!!! I forgot about that one (even though it's one out of the two games I have for that system)!Originally Posted by cauterize
Agreed! Despite the headaches and nausea, it's a GREAT game! Worth owning a Virtual Boy just for that title.
I remember it. I used to play it on the PSX display at a video store I worked at. It was pretty clever, but since I didn't own a PSX, I never got it.Originally Posted by atomicthumbs
There was a Gameboy version though, I may have to try and find that.
Well I love the original of course, I guess you cant beat that (the GB version), from what I remember, Tetrisphere was great as well.
