    Default In regards to eproms

Ive heard various times that scanning eproms, or taking pictures of them will damage them. However, I only thought that UV light would erase the chips. Which is true?

Any and all light erases eproms. Look up the data sheets for the eprom for the exact frequency at which it erases it real fast. But regular light actually has the destructive frequency, but not at a high dosage.

Heck, eproms can be erased by being in a dark lead box!! (give or take 20 years).
