Nice, someone trying to profit off of something they got for FREE.
Geez, this is like the 4th or 5th car from that show to pop up on ebay. Some rich car collector should start a collection of those cars, Anyone know Leno's number?
i've watched that show, those guys are hacks...The cars look good from 15 feet away, but I shudder to think about up close...See the episode where they reversed (suicide-type) the doors on a VW bug? Welded everything together and proceeded to hammer and mangle the frame and body to get the thing to shut....hahahahhaha
hacks
Chip Foos, now they did a car, and truly put some quality work into it..

I agree Chip Foos is a complete geniusOriginally Posted by monantony
Ill add to that... He's a craftsman and the pimp my ride guys are a precise match for MTV's Addle-minded-fans....They are akin to HS auto shop clowns...I wouldn't let them Valet my car, much less pimp it

I don't know but I don't think you can judge the car crew just because you watch Pimp My Ride. I mean it is a TV show so they make a SHOW with what they are doing. As much as I know they have two week for one car and what you see about it in TV is a very short (and mainly entertaining) part of all the work.

LIke I said, watch how they reverse the doors on the bug. When you bid $15k for that green cutlass, your going to get a big pile or crap. ANy of the mechanicals redone, engine trans? No. Suspension, no..etc. Just saying they dont do quality work. How else COULD i draw a conclusion w/o watching the show.Originally Posted by Tatsu

It would have been nice if the seller put up more than one picture. I also like the condition listed as "good". I'll pass thanks.
What have you done America?
I still don't understand why they put thousands of dollars into these junk cars and then leave the engine as it is. Why not put a new engine in there too? Then again we ARE talking about MTV here, and I shouldn't think logically. x_x
I don't care how good a car looks, if it doesn't run right and has high mileage it's still a piece of sh!t.
Maybe they do better work when they are doing a car for an actual paying client... and then again, how many people bring in junkies to spend 10 grand on (or however much it costs to customize).
@ monantony:
I saw the PMR show with that car but to be honest I can't remember if they really didn't change the engine. If they didn't you are right of course. But I do remember that they did with other cars.
Anyway, don't mind MTV in Switzerland, sometimes I like undemanding entertainment on TV...

Those guys are really good with NEW cars. Look at the other cars in the garage. They all look awsome, and the guys do know what they are doing with interior work and paint. I don't think the point of the show is to tune the engine. So basiclly they guys are doing what they know how to do, interior and paint.
The guy in the auction definantly needs to add some more photos if he thinks he is going to get anyone interested in that car. I stopped watching the show after about 4 episodes because they do the exact same thing with every car... add big rims, nice paint job, decent interior, and stupid monitors all over the place. I would be pissed if they put monitors in the celing of my classic musting.
I wonder if MTV makes these people sign a contract where as they have to own the vehicle for a certian amout of time.
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!
People should watch Overhaul it , on discovery. They do full frame off restorations on vehicles.
