For what petitions are worth... especially online petitions.
I'd be curious to know what percentage of online petitions actually make a difference. My guess would be a very low number.
(sorry to be jaded and cynical, but the fact is that online petitions rarely bear any weight, as it's too easy to forge them)
I signed it in the 3000s... but look, there's no chance a petition is going to change a thing. The NFL gets their money, and people will still buy Madden by the assload.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
I once signed an online petition. Millions of legit signatures on it too.

Nope. Futurama still isn't airing on Fox.

I think a few petitions helped get some companies to release sgtuff on DVD, but those are things that would have hapened anyway in most cases. I'm sure if anyone in the NFL office sees this one they'll get a good laugh from it though.
I believe the online petition helped get Freaks and Geeks on DVD but a few thousand signitures was probably all they were looking for.Originally Posted by ddockery
I also once signed a petition to get William Hung back on American Idol that didn't happen either.
Unless the company specificaly ASKS for a online petition (something along the lines of "We're not sure if this would be profitable, if enough people write in and tell us they would buy it, we'll probaly do it") then online petitions are a waste of time. x_x

How can I not resist adding my John Hancock to such a fine piece of literature?
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
I'm not going to sign it because if Sega or any other football game were actually on par with Madden the NFL wouldn't have made this decision.

Last I checked, sega was right on par with EA. People love the sega sports series. It's just assclown fanboys that don't know what else to buy besides madden.
GIVE ME NFL 2K6 OR GIVE ME DEATH!
not that this will help, but why not.
I remember when some kid started a petition to get me banned from the Sneszone forums... which I was an admin of.
Too bad Sneszone no longer exists.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them
Hahaha, that is really funnyOriginally Posted by Evan
True, but I guess it makes people feel better. Every time this comes up, I keep mening to dig up the article I read saying that companies basically ignore anything on-line, but if they actually get a pen and paper letter, they might (key word, might) read it.Originally Posted by SoulBlazer

Sorry if this has already been stated but...
How about an online petition to ban online petitions?
