My contra hard corps is in a cardboard box too
Scratch that Comix Zone in the hardcase earlier, I thought I was getting it in the Hardcase today, but I misjudged, so I don't know for sure.
Street Fighter 2 SCE was in the Paper case. If you go to your local Toys R Us they might have Genesis games still and most should be in paper boxes from Majesto re-releases.
I did a quick look-see, and these are boxes I own which aren't listed already. I'm sure I could think of more, but I'm only listing the stuff I'm 100% sure about.
Arcade's Greatest Hits
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Might Morphin Power Rangers
Super Battleship
Steel Talons
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Jack Nicklaus Power Challenge
Joshua
Crusader of Centy
Ecco Jr.
Art of Fighting
Skeleton Krew
Weapon Lord
Paperboy 2
NHL All-Star Hockey 95
NFL '95
College Football's National Championship II
Street Fighter II: Championship Edition
Now out of these, I'm sure that Street Fighter II: CE, Paperboy 2, and Steel Talons were all released in plastic. I'm also sure that finding Street Fighter II: CE and Steel Talons in cardboard is harder than finding them in the plastic boxes.
It would probably take a while, but I'd like it if somebody with an enormous collection like Snorter would list all their games in cardboard boxes. It would be nice if we could determine which games were cardboard only, and which were re-released in cardboard later on. I'd like to figure out which cardboard boxes are hard to find too, seeing as I'm creepy about being a completeist when it comes to this stuff.
