Is this considered a "kids" game? I have been a huge fan of Zelda since the first one came out, I just never bought this one and I was thinking about picking it up, What do you think?
It may be a little cartoony, but its awsome!

Fun game. Please don't let cell shaded graphics make you think a game is "kiddy".
A Lot of People considered it the simplest Zelda game, if that's what you are referring to. It gave me a few difficulties though, that had me pulling out my hair (I even came online to find the answer to one part) Wheras Ocarina of TIme didn't give me nearly as difficult a time (and the Water Temple? Peice of Cake in OoT).
So it really depends on how it is your mind works. I hope you are patient though, and enjoy these types of games, because the water aspect in this one is boring until you find out how to warp (IF you find out how to warp).
I personally think that it's the second best zelda game ever after LTTP. The game just takes everything that was good about OOT, and expands apond it.
Tradegamesnow and GameTZ feedback.
How worthwhile the game will be depends all on your personal taste.
I personally didn't like the character or enemy models, the story was dull and boring, there wasn't enough dungeons, the difficulty level was pititfully easy, there were too many stupid fetch quest and such that were only there to artificially extend the game, sailing got old 5 minutes after I first did it, the ocean was a poor substitute for a true overworld, and having to constantly change wind direction with the wand and the resulting stupid unskipable animation quickly got old. And the lack of 16:9 support also was disappointing as were several of the statues being missable and forcing most to do a second play through if they really want to 100% the game without a strategy guide.
The graphics were about the only feature of the game I'd praise although I think the water could've been done a tad bit better. The level environments, the buildings, the dungeons, the changing sky, the weather effects, and such all looked amazing. Only visual blemishes are the character model themselves and that's more of an art direction issue than anything.
Ultimately, it doesn't compare to stuff like Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, or Links Awakening. But it's a solid 3D Zelda entry despite several flaws. It's very much worth experiencing even if it falls well short of the top entries in the series.

If you're such a "huge" Zelda fan, you should've been able to see past the "kiddy" graphics and seen it for it truely is... a magnificent game utilizing a unique art style to propel the story and gameplay.
In other words... BUY IT!
if you have to ask if its a kiddy game then its too kiddy for you.

Yes, if you enjoy Zelda games you should play this. I really enjoyed it even though it was short/easy.
i think pretty much the only way a zelda game is going to be too kiddy is if you can beat it in an hour, or if its title is "Zelda: the alphabet quest"
BLAST AWAY AND GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's designed for anybody, kids or adults. yeah...link looks like a kid...but the rest of the graphics are stunning! it's not OoT, but it is fun. the sailing gets old (even with warps), but the rest of the game is so good, you'll get over it. i'll say it again, the sailing gets old, but you'll get over it could've used 2-3 more dungeons as well.Originally Posted by EricRyan34
plus, the game is like $15-20 now? if you own a gc, you owe this game at least a few hours...it has a few flaws but it is a great game.
I just picked up my copy of the game a few days ago. Breathtaking.

Although everytime I beat a legend of zelda title, I feel like I genuinely saved the world. Like something had been accomplished.
The game was alright... but there are others I'd recommend more highly.
I go online sometimes, but ... everyone's spelling is really bad, and it's ... depressing.
