Nothing more to see here folks. The dilemma has been resolved In fact, if you have the power to delete this entire thread, exercise your authority and do so.

Well, I was watching the exact same auction and I was tempted to buy it. I too need another controller for my CD system. The damn things are easily that much almost everywhere, and for a boxed one, that's a good price.

However, if you don't mind the arcade sticks, you might be able to get an old-style arcade stick slightly cheaper ($30+). Either way, ALL Neo Geo parts and accessories are expensive

Thanks for the info Max. I got a couple of price quotes from some foreign suppliers as well. telegames.co.uk in the United Kingdom has some but since the American dollar is weaker than the British pound, I would've had to shell out much more. gamechoice.com.hk has one or two in stock, but shipping would've been considerable from Hong Kong. buyritegames.com has theirs for 69.99!

I finally caved in and bought the damn thing. :/ $56.00 doesn't look so expensive now

Hey, no problem....they're fairly hard to come by at reasonable prices for some reason. I'f I'd had the extra cash, I would have jumped at it myself Now just wait until you try to buy a spare power supply...$50!!!!!

I managed to pick one up today for $35 + shipping..got REALLY lucky as well. Even $56 is a good price for those things though....Neo Geo parts are silly expensive!
