Default Anyone ever play that Sonic Fighters arcade machine?

The arcade in the mall near me (Penrose mall located in Eden, NC) used to have an arcade machine called Sonic Fighters. Everytime I went to that mall I would play it. I loved it so much. You could choose among many different fighters including Sonic and some I have never heard of--Emilio, some cowboy dude, others.

But they got rid of the machine a couple of months ago so now I can't go and play it anymore

I would like to know what they did with the machine so maybe I could do some work for a year or two and try to save enough to buy it from whomever has it.

I didn't want to post this in Arcade Alley because I don't own an arcade and I may never have the money to buy one. Plus, that forum doesn't get many posts.

Anyone else ever play this? I miss that machine so much

I saw it once, it was in GrapeVine Mills Mall in Texas...at a GameWorks, Inc. Arcade

I should have played it just once...but I passed it..I wonder if it's emulated yet...would be nice to see it again...Bean and Bark were pretty cool
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

go and ask where do that arcade get their game's from !! you might be able to get ahold of the distributer and they'll sell you the game for cheap ( when game are remove from arcade...usually it's cause they don't bring in as much $$ as befor and they are damage good's for the distributer !! so cheap for you)

Thanks racecar, I'll try to remember to do that.

Don't know how I would contact the owner of the arcade room though...

How was it? Have screen shots? I played SF at Sega World in London in 96. Nothing to write home about. If I remember correctly it controlled a lot like Virtua Fighter. Not Sonics best game for sure.

    Default !

A couple of the fighters from Sonic made it onto the Fighters Megamix disk as hidden characters.

You can also play as the car from Daytona if you feel the need.

    Cheers
