    Default Weekend finds Dec 13-15th

Ok...fine..it's not the weekend yet! I scored big today anyway!

    Found at the local Microplay:

Vay w/map (no scratches, but map has writing) $15 Cdn!
Dark Wizard (complete, no scratches) $15 Cdn!
Sega CD Backup RAM cart in nice box! $15 Cdn!

I found these all at the same store and about choked when I saw em all for those prices! For the exchange rate illiterate... $15 Cdn = $9.64 US. Heh! Now I have a spare Dark Wizard and Vay which I will proceed to post on the Buying and selling forum!

I've got a line on a sale of 2000 NES games this weekend so I haven't been out looking as I tend to spend.. But I did find a boxed VIC 20 for a couple of bucks..

No weekend finds for me - too close to Xmas! I gave my wife my "want" list.. and now there are some cartridge sized presents underneath the tree. Let's hope they're in there!

I went to GameStop on Tuesday and found 2 Genesis games w/ boxes and manuals: Pirates! Gold ($9.99) and Gunstar Heroes ($1.99)

Brought them up to the counter and the guy said "buy 2 get one free sale on Genesis games!" So I went back and grabbed the only $1.99 game I could find (Subterrania, loose). After tax and my 10% discount I got all 3 games for $11.32.

Gamestop dropped their prices that low on those games??? Pirates Gold was $25 a few months ago, and Gunstar Heroes was $13 or $14. Do you know if the SNES and NES games have dropped in price as well? I guess I need to head to a Gamestop tomorrow...

Wow! I knew I had a good find but I didn't realise it was that good!

Also stopped at a thrift store this morning on my way to work and got:

NES Action Set (complete w/ box, foam and even the plastic bags everything comes in!)
    NES - Super C (complete)
NES - a pool game by FCI, forget what it's called (complete)
    NES - Tetris manual
    Sega Saturn light gun

All for the princely sum of $17.81.
BTW, this was at the Salvation Army right down the street from me which never has anything, so just remember - never give up!

Well, that didn't go my way (the 2000 nes games) I only had $1900 in the bank after xmas buying and I went into this thinking I could get them for .50 cents each or something as it was an early auction... Well, in the end they went for $2850.00. There were some great ones in there though 4xDW4, 5xff1, lots of unlicensed, at least one Tengen Tetris along with the usual 40+SMB/DH, DH, SMB, SMB/DH/Track. I talked to the guy who one them afterwards, trying to make a deal or two but he knew what he could get for them.. can't blame the guy, I'd try to get $30 for Tengen Tetris to..

So I went to the flee afterwards just feeling kinda low (I had dreamed I would go home with 2000 nes games after all) But I did get some cool things..

Complete Sega Menacer gun!! $2.00 Came with a thin with 2 joystick ports with Camerica on the underside..
Anyone know how to get the gun working? Where do i put the little box?

Also got Act Raiser 2 for Snes for $7.00

Also got a ps2 fighter stick and a N64, PS1, ps2, GB game save reader/writer that connects to the computer for $2.00 total from the junk tables..

Well, I wouldn't call these finds exactly but I did get 3 games recently. The first two I got through Ebay and the third is a Christmas gift from a friend in California...

    1. Pokemon Snap (N64)--At first I was thinking this was my very first Pokemon game but I forgot about the Pokemon games that came on the Game Boy 21-In-1 cartridge I received in the Secret Santa exchange last year. As a photographer, this game seemed to have some interest for me even though I'm not a Pokemon fan. I did have to laugh at a note on the back of the box.."This is a Game Pak, Not A Camera". Darn!

    2. Forsaken 64--I've heard mixed reports on this but it was cheap so I decided to take a chance. Besides, my N64 collection is far too small.

    3. Super Monkey Ball 2 (GameCube)

    Default my finds

I haven't been doing much thrifting recently but I found these things:
    SNES 2 console only $5
Sega Mega Drive console only $3
    Commodore 1902 monitor $2
    Commodore 64C or 128 AC adapter $1
Radio Shack TRS-80 Touch Pad $1

Nothing too interesting but that was only the second Sega Mega Drive I have ever seen (the other was a Mega Drive 2 and priced at $50 I think). The computer stuff will be added to the ever growing pile that I will do something with someday. I bet I have over 50 80's computers now.

    Default finds

I went into some EB store I never saw before. They had Jaguar games for 99 cents each. They were labeled 6.99, but they rang up at .99 (I discovered this when I went to buy a copy of Raiden).

So for about nine bucks I got:
    Raiden
    Iron Soldier
    Hover Strike
    Trevor McFur
    Kasumi Ninja
    Checkered Flag
    Zool 2
    Cybermorph

I also picked up Dreamcast Record of Lodoss War new for 7.99, and DC Bangai-O for 7.99. Also Sega Saturn Creature Shock for 4.99; that's the 1st time I've seen a Saturn game in the wild for a while!
