    Default Need Laser For GameCube

Looking to buy a replacement laser for my GameCube. Any idea where I could get one? Lik-Sang is currently out of stock.

Will also consider a broken console if the laser still works.

    Thanks.

By the time you get a laser, you are already into about half of what a bare console would go for on eBay.

    Just my two cents.

tricky buying cubes on ebay now, with the newer models having no component video cable port.....personally speaking, if i were in this situation, and got stuck with a component-less cube, i would be up a creek as that is the only video cable I possess for it...

How does that work? You still need a composite or S-video cable for the audio, don't you?

    So, what's the story?

The story is, if my cube broke, and i wound up with one of those pieces of crap, i'd have to swipe the s-vid cable off my snes or n64. because the audio cables on my cube is just that. audio. i stripped the video lead off of it, to get it out of the way. Hell if i'm gonna use anything but Component Video on xbox, ps2, or cube, though....

Default I have a broken cube

I kid from my church was at a birthday party, playing his Gamecube with his friends, one of them got mad and threw it across the room. The centerpiece, not the laser cracked making any disk angle and not playable(it won't spin). He gave it to me, thinking I could fix it, and I'm not that bright. The cube powers up I'm able to changed the date etc. He got a new cube, spoiled rotten kid, but I still have that cube. Tonight I will check to make sure that my wife didn't throw it away. Email me back at dcescott@yahoo.com if you are still interested. Possibly trade or something, it should be light to ship as well.
    Daniel
