"Got Boot?"
I dont like the sound of this guys auction, since he thinks its a "B+" rating on video quality
Well it's pretty obvious that this stuff is not an official release, but it's a pretty well packaged set if you are into the SMB cartoons, and I don;t think that $25 is too much to ask for that.
Chris
I was actually looking at his Captain N DVD sets a while back, but I decided not to buy one. I would much rather have official Captain N tapes than have the bootleg DVD's (even though his case does look very nice for a bootleg).
The thing is, these shows haven't been released on DVD, and only select episodes have been released on VHS.
Honestly, I don't think Captain N has even been released on VHS, I've never seen it.
But if you want Captain N series, I suggest you contact Sniderman on the boards here, he can get you them as well. I'd rather give him my money than an unknown fellow on eBay.
I see nothing wrong with buying DVD-R copies of unreleased on DVD shows/movies/etc. Sometimes that's the only way you will ever see this stuff again
Two episodes have been released on VHS. And even their not THAT good of quality.Originally Posted by Cmosfm
This is not a good deal at all really. Unless you don't care about the qualtiy of your picture.
I think I'd rather pay 25.00 to see all the episodes in 3rd generation VHS quality than never see them at all. I never got a chance to watch these when I was young, I want to see them now. Unless you know of something I don't, I don't see any other option.Originally Posted by NintendoMan
And something doesn't have to be digitally remastered into DVD quality to be watchable. Everyone seems to want clarity clarity clarity, and until these video's are officially released on DVD (which they probably won't be), we have to settle for what we can get.
And if that means 3rd generation, recorded off television, vhs to dvd transfers....so be it....as long as I can see what's going on, that's all that matters to me.
...now if I buy a DVD out of Best Buy, that's a different story.
Amen to that. I'm all for buying stuff that is not out officially on DVD. I bought a Pete and Pete set on ebay and was very pleased.
