Default Multiplayer GameCube games, I need help

Ok here is the situation. In this GameCenter that I'm working on, I'm going to need a selection of a few GameCube games. Certainly, Mario Kart DD will be one of them. 1080 Snowboarding will be one of them. That one Kirby game will be one of them.

What other games would I want to have?

Resident Evil 4 doesn't have any multiplayer modes right?

Does Metroid Prime offer any network or lan play options?

What GameCube games allow 4 players to play on a 4 player split screen.

Basically, I need to know of every GameCube game that allows more than 2 people to play simultaneously.

Also, what are the biggest GameCube games on the horizon?

Certain games that don't have any multiplayer value, I'm still going to want to have some of them. Like Resident Evil 4 and the chainsaw controller. Or the new Zelda game that is coming down the pipe. Any multiplayer games coming down the pipe?

Thanks for any help that anybody can provide on this, I'm not very familar with the lineup for the Cube. I happen to have a Cube, but it's quite dusty. It just doesn't get much play time.

Oh, what about Mario Golf and Mario Tennis and Mario Baseball? How many people can play those games simultaneously?

I believe that Metroid Prime 2 has a mediocre multiplayer mode in it, but not the first one.
    Egbert, I miss you...

I'm going to have to second Super Smash Bros, Super Monkey Ball 1 and Super Monkey Ball 2. Not only are they both great fun 4 player games, but they are also quite varied in gameplay. Another series you should look into are the Mario Parties, 4-6. One thing I would suggest though, is to obtain save files with everything unlocked, as with the games listed above, many things can be unlocked.

The only Gamecube games that offer LAN connection are the first 3 that you mentioned unfortunately

    IKARUGA! 2p and = awesome.

Four Swords requires GBAs, not regular controllers, if you're going to play it multiplayer...but the game is worth it.

Wario Ware: Mega Party Games is most excellent as a four (or more) player game. It rocks.

    PAC MAN VS!

Tales of Symphonia; I've never played it but hear it absolutely rocks.

Pokemon Colosseum is multiplayer (up to 4) if each person has their GBA and cart with them.

Those are the major ones, I believe...there are other things like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance which are not necessarily Cube exclusives, but which have 2-player action.

If you want the definitive single-player ones too, you should probably pick up Super Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, etc.
You are startled by a grim snarl. Before you, you see 1 Red dragon. Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?

yeah, it might be neat if you set up an ikaruga station running in tate mode, preferable with some arcade sticks.

how can you forget, Alien Hominid!

    Others i would get:
Ikaruga (addictive and fun 2 player team work)
F-Zero GX (3 player action, too hard on single player)

Alternating play but can be fun,
    Sonic Mega Collection
    Mega Man Collection
