I wouldn't call any of them "famous" but what they've made is pretty well known. The animation studio at MGM Disney (Mulan, Home on the Range) has an Atari VCS that the animators occasionally hook up and play. Don't know if it counts for our purpose here, but I just felt like saying something.

I have forgotten to feed my fish...
Sometime back Rolling Stone Magazine did an article on celebs and gaming. I remember Jack Black mentioning a huge affinity for older games. I think he mentioned the 2600 and also that he was a huge buff for arcade Scramble.
Along these same lines, gaming is also apparently widespread among professional wrestlers. From what I've read, wrestlers also tend to lean towards modern consoles and sports games (wrestling, too). WWE management, however, tends to be a little disdainful when wrestlers are playing PS2 in the locker room between matches when they could be "studying" the other workers out on the mat.Originally Posted by SoulBlazer
Booker T is apparently one of the biggest gamers in WWE and even owns his own game store in Houston called "Jam Zone". Anyone ever been there?
Pro wrestler AJ Styles from NWA is a HUGE video gamer. He's said many times that when he retires from wrestling, he wants to try and get into the game business somewhere.
I know Kane and Shelton Benjamin from WWE are pretty avid gamers too.

i'm small town famous. Think local radio personality, that be me. And I have a pretty good collection. But then I'm only famous in my own mind.
I know Hugh Hefner has a Donkey Kong and a Pacman cabinet in one of his "game rooms"
Also, there is a pro skater (Jeremy Wray, I think... can't remember) who collects a bunch of stuff
Damn straight....I wonder how much money he gets just for royalty fees for each DVD sold...or each time they played it on that Disney TV where they play cartoons 24/7.Originally Posted by Cryomancer

Michael Jackson perhaps? Wonder what games him and those little boys played... :/
Um, i'd also say Dave Perry (Virgin Interactive / Shiny Entertainment) is pretty famous, but mainly for developing the games rather than playing / collecting them...
I remember watching an ep of MTV Cribs where the bassplayer (I think) from Marilyn Manson, Twiggy Ramirez, showed his pad and he had a a bunch of retro struff hooked up to his big ass tv. Among the stuff I remember he proudyl showed off a 2600 and 7800.

Oh, Lord. Well, you're doing a better job than Clinton as far as keeping your mind on your job, instead of keeping your mind on gettin' head and ignoring known threats to the free world and leaving that mess for the next guy.
tommy tallarico has some arcade cabs and some games at his house .
You forgot to mention that I take so much heat for invading Iraq, but there was no public outcry when Mr. Clinton bombed Bosnia and Somalia. Plus, keep in mind that when I lied to the public, I was NOT under oath, as Bill was. Plus, slick Willy would just as soon have revoked the second amendment. And they say I take away citizens' rights.Oh, Lord. Well, you're doing a better job than Clinton as far as keeping your mind on your job, instead of keeping your mind on gettin' head and ignoring known threats to the free world and leaving that mess for the next guy.
The truth is, people, none of us are men of integrity. Never have been, never will be. No matter who wins, the people lose. Always.

But we all know you invaded Iraq simply so you could hide a load of ET Atari 2600 carts in the desert...
In the latest issue of Stuff, they had a small article on Kevin Smith, and he mentioned the Sega Genesis. Here's what he said (which shouldn't be a surprise to any huge Kevin Smith fan):
I love the old EA hockey games. We played to beat the shit out of each other to see blood on the ice. My signature was where you sweep across the front of the net and put it between the goalie's legs.
Raymond Herrerra (Fear Factory's drummer) is a pretty big gamer. I've emailed him a couple times about games, and besides being into the newer stuff, he does play some of the older games as well. Hell, he even knew Splatterhouse. Check this out: Fear Factory Gaming.
On a similar note, a guy I used to know met Raymond after a FF show in the mid-'90s and played Samurai Shodown with him for an hour or so.
