Simple question, which do you like better and why?
I'm going with Frequency, because it is the game that I got hooked on.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
Hmm, tough call. I find Frequency to be more fun online, and Amplitude to be more fun for single player. They both kick ass though.
I like Amplitude better, even though Frequency's a good game itself.
I guess I just can't stop hearing that Garbage song (even though it's a sanitized version..).
Both are awesome, but I prefer the way Amplitude was laid out after a bitter battle with my sanity on why Harmonix would take the tunnel out of Amplitude. Then I played Amplitude.
Now where's the petition sign up for Freqatude?
I need more...
Ditto. Amplitude had a wider ranges of genres but the electronic bent of Frequency suits the game better.Originally Posted by Captain Yashiro

I also like the music in Frequency better, but I think that they added mainstream musicians to the roster to help sell the game to a wider audience. Don't think it helped too much, as people still look at me like I have a retarded monkey flinging poop from my head when I explain these games to people. "I don't get it" & "What's the point of doing that?" gets asked a lot.
I'm still hoping Harmonix got "it" out their system by making Eye Toy: Antigrav, and get back to making a third game.
Frequency because of the play Mechanics. The ability to roll between the lines (as they move in a circle) make it alot more capable in being able to hit everything as it cycles back up. Im Amplitude youve got that flat field and it doesnt feel right as you try to switch between the lines. as you cant cycle around to the other side but have to work your way back.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Amplitude. It is just so much more playable. The interface is better.
It's funny. I got Amplitude for $3.00 last week at TRU, totally loved it, and picked up Frequency tonight to round out the series. Good timing.
Frequency is less user friendly. I like the soundtrack a bit more due to its electronica leanings, but it is harder, and not necessarily for the right reasons.
Amplitude is a more polished version of Frequency that is probably closer to the original vision of the developer. A sequel done absolutely perfectly.
i only played amplitude a little cuz my friend has it but I definitly liked the overall feel of frequency better. Multiplyer in amplitude was really hard with that crazy camera angle.
Amplitude, much more refined and detailed. I like Frequency's music better but for me it's too hard to go back to, I just think Amplitude does everything better.
