at some point in the past I had Mega Man for PC, and I can tell you that I clearly remember it had no instructions. Really made me angry, I had no idea what was going on

I've never actually played that, but when it came out, I remember looking at the back of the box and thinking that Mega Man looked like he'd been putting on weight.
Hey, that's the same box art used for MM1 on the Game Boy! (And it's still orders of magnitude better than the NES box art!)
