Default The "Holy Mother of God!" Sale

Okay folks. Here it is. Due to some rather expensive ... er ... expenses over this past weekend (see this thread) I'm forced to purge some stuff. What follows is all from my own personal collection, so this is a good chance to get your hands on some of the good stuff and not just what's sitting in my dupe pile. :-)

    But first, the terms:

    - All prices are in US Funds.
    - Buyer pays shipping to Canada or the US. Due to the astounding cost involved, I'd rather not ship overseas, but will consider any options. Please note that anyone who buys more than one large bundle may have to pay separate shipping charges for each due to the overall size. I will choose the most economic route to accomplish this, however.
    - Payment by PayPal cash balance or credit card (no eCheques!) only, except within Canada, where I will also accept E-Mail Money Transfer for those of you whose bank supports it, and direct deposit or transfer from a Royal Bank customer. I'm trying to raise the cash relatively quickly, and these are the quickest methods of payment.
    - Shipping to the US on packages over 1Kg will be done via Canada Post Expedited Parcel mail. Packages under 1kg will be done via Canada Post Small Parcel Surface mail (air is also available for a bit of additional cost). Within Canada, packages will go either Canada Post Expedited Parcel Mail or UPS. Single carts shipped anywhere will go Canada Post Letter Mail, again unless air is specified (outside Canada).
    - I would prefer to sell everything in their bundles, so I'd rather not part out.
    - Reasonable offers will be considered, but I'm pricing everything at what I would consider to be very reasonable prices anyway.
    - And please, remember that I am in Canada, so shipments abroad will likely take longer than you may be accustomed to.

Pictures are available on request, though I may post some shots in the next few days anyway. I'll describe everything to the best of my ability, though.

Okay, enough of that. Make yourself a snack. Get comfortable. Put on some nice music. We're going to be spending a little time on this one.

    1. The Ultimate "Hugh Jass" Sega Genesis Bundle! [SOLD!]

Bit of an auspicious title, but judge for yourself. This magnificent bundle features:

    - Sega Genesis (Model 2) - CIB Core System!
A complete boxed model 2 Genesis unit complete with box, cardboard insert and lid, the Genesis unit, AC adaptor, RF adapter, expansion port cover and edge connector sleeve, two six-button controllers, instruction manual and catalog. The box is in good overall condition and features a bit of shelf wear here and there, but is otherwise very nice indeed.
    - Sega CD (Model 2) - boxed!
A boxed model 2 Sega CD unit. Box is in somewhat poor condition with some tears and wear. The cardboard insert and paperwork are also missing.
    - Sega 32X - CIB!
A near-complete Sega 32X unit, including cardboard insert, the 32X unit, A/C adaptor, passthru cable, manual, 32X extension unit, instruction manual (french and english), compatibility leaflet and extension leaflet. The box is in pretty good condition, though the UPC code has been cut out of the box (for a mail-in rebate probably), but it is otherwise quite nice. NOTE: Genesis model 2 spacer is missing, but the unit works fine without it. Also note that the "compatibility leaflet" warns that it is not compatible with a Sega CDX. I own a CDX, and it works just fine.

Yep. A full Genesis/CD/32X package, mostly CIB. Doesn't get much better than that. Except when you pile in a huge game bundle. Kind of like this:

    Sega Genesis Games:
    - Lethal Enforcers (Konami; Genesis version) - CIB. Good condition box, very good condition contents. Contains plastic tray, game cart, blue Justifier gun, manual, warranty card and poster catalog.
    - Bimini Run (NuVision) - CIB, excellent condition.
    - Ghostbusters (Sega) - CIB. Manual is a bit wrinkly, and there's a numeric sticker on the cart label.
    - Street Fighter II (Capcom) - Box, cart. Box sleeve is held on with tape, but in good shape. Cart label is excellent.
    - Championship Pool (Mindscape) - CIB. Manual has a few wrinkles. Everything else in excellent shape.
    - Jurassic Park (Sega) - CIB. Very good condition overall.
    - Battleship (Mindscape) - CIB. Manual has a few wrinkles/bends, but otherwise very good shape.
    - Strider (Sega) - CIB. Sleeve has some wrinkles/bends. Manual has a few creases. Everything else in good shape.
    - Action 52 (Action Enterprises) - CIB. Manual has a few creases, box slightly crushed. A cool collection of 52 unique games on one menu-driven cart.
    - Williams' Arcade's Greatest Hits (Williams) - Box, manual, cart. Cover is missing; back of sleeve loose. Otherwise very good shape. Features the classics Robotron: 2084, Defender, Defender II, Joust and Sinistar.
    - Spider-Man vs. X-Men (Flying Edge) - loose. Good condition.
    - Earth Defense (Realtec) - loose. Good condition.
    - Menacer 6-in-1 (Sega) - loose w/ manual. 6 games designed for use with the Sega Menacer gun (not included). A bit useless, but it's here anyway.
    - Game Genie (Galoob) - loose w/ manual. Not strictly a game, but a game enhancer. Use Game Genie codes for the Genesis and cheat your way to the final boss. :-)

    Sega CD Games:
    - RAM Back-Up Cart (Sega) - Box, cart only. Okay, it's not a CD, but it's used with the SegaCD. This gives you save game ability for SegaCD games. Box is crushed.
    - Lethal Enforcers (Konami; SegaCD version) - CIB, near mint. Was sealed 'til I opened it. Box has dent on front, but contents are absolutely mint and still has shrinkwrap over the box. Played only once. Contains plastic tray, game CD (no scratches), blue Justifier gun, manual, warranty card and TV notice. Poster catalog didn't come with this version for some reason.
    - Sewer Shark (Sony) - CIB, soft box retail version. Box is a little crushed. Manual and CD are nearly pristine, though. Note: A second copy with the blue CD and manual is included.
    - Wolfchild (JVC) - NIB, Sealed. Cardboard box version. Small tear in shrinkwrap at the bottom front. Box has some slight bowing from the shrinkwrap.
    - Prince of Persia (Sega) - NIB, sealed. Small hole in shrinkwrap on the front where someone tried to peel a price sticker off. Some slight bowing from the shrinkwrap.
    - Star Wars: Rebel Assault (JVC) - CIB-. Small hairline crack on back of case. Missing foam CD protector. CD in very good shape. Missing foam CD protector.
    - Mad Doc McCree (American Laser Games) - CIB-. Small hairline crack at bottom back of case, light scuffing. Excellent manual and CD. Missing foam CD protector. Use with the Justifier for some live action six-shooter goodness.
    - Brutal: Paws of Fury (Gametek) - CIB-. Small scratch on front case. No cracks. Manual in excellent shape. CD in fair condition with some light scratches/scuffs.
    - Prize Fighter (Digital Pictures) - CIB. Hairline crack on back of case. Manual in excellent shape. CDs both in very good shape; small scratch on disc one (doesn't impede gameplay). CD2's tray doesn't like staying put though. Be Rocky for a day. Stellaaaaaaaa! NOTE: Two copies of this are included. One is missing CD 2.
    - Tomcat Alley (Sega) - CIB-. A few cracks on front. Back insert is actually for Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia. (Hey, that's how I got it; fortunately this is included below) Manual in very good shape. CD in fair shape with some surface scratches/scuffs, though they don't impede gameplay. Missing foam CD protector.
    - Bill Walsh College Football (EA Sports) - CIB-. Very light scuffing on front of case. Everything else is in excellent shape. Missing foam CD protector.
    - Chuck Rock II: Son of Chuck (Virgin) - CIB-. Case's cover hinges are broken off. Light scuffing on case. Manual is excellent. CD is fair - surface scuffing/scratches. Game plays fine. Missing foam CD protector.
    - Heart of the Alien: Out of This World Parts I and II (Virgin) - CIB-. Light scuffing on case. Excellent manual and cD. Missing foam CD protector. Historical note: Heart of the Alien is the REAL sequel to Out Of This World (a.k.a. Another World) -- Flashback is a related game, but not the official sequel. This one picks up right where the first left off. For whatever reason, this was only ever released on the Sega CD platform, so this is the only place you'll ever get to play it, and you get both the original and this unique sequel all on one CD!
    - Mortal Kombat (Arena/Midway) - CIB-. Scuffing on case. One of the case cover's hinges is broken off. Manual's staples have been removed so its cover is detached. CD is fair with average scuffing/scratches. Plays fine. Missing foam CD protector.
    - Eye of the Beholder (FCI) - CIB-. Crack across front of case. Light scuffing/scratching on CD. Missing foam CD protector.
    - Dragon's Lair (Readysoft) - CIB-. Scuffing and crack front and back of case. CD is good with very light scratching. The Don Bluth arcade laserdisc classic!
    - Space Ace (Readysoft) - CIB-. Scuffing and crack on back of case. CD is good with very light scratching. Bluth's followup laserdisc classic!
    - Star Wars Chess (Software Toolworks) - CIB. Scuffing and hairline crack on front and back of case. Light scuffing/scratches on CD. Some label schmutz on front of CD where it appears a label once was. This one includes the foam CD protector.
    - Fahrenheit (Sega) - CIB. Near mint inside and out. Includes both Sega CD and 32X CD discs. Foam CD protector's there, too.
    - Rise of the Dragon - Manual, CD, tray only. Cool point-and-click adventure, Blade Runner style. CD has very light scuffing/scratches.
    - Ecco the Dolphin (Sega) - CD, jewelcase, manual only. Light scuffing on CD.
    - Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia (Compton's New Media) - CD, jewelcase only. Light scuffing on CD.
    - Jaguar XJ220 (JVC) - CD, jewelcase, manual only. Fair CD with scuffing/scratches. Works well though.
    - Jeopardy (Sony) - CD and manual only. Good condition.
    - Rock Paintings/Hot Hits - CDs and cardboard dual jewelcase. A pack-in with the Sega CD. A two-disc CD+G music sampler. Rather cool, acutally -- includes three of the famous Information Society CD+G tracks from their debut album, among other things.

I'm also including 3 titles that do not work for one reason or another:
    - Sonic CD (gatefold cardboard jewelcase and CD only). Disc looks like someone took a waxing machine to it. Seriously.
    - Ground Zero: Texas (jewelcase, CD and manual only). Disc 2 is missing.
    - Soul Star (CIB-). Pronounced circular scratches on disc make it unplayable.

Please note that all of these have been tested to one degree or another and they all work to the degree that I tested them. Because I can't test every game right to completion I can't guarantee that all or any of them will work that far, but except for the three dead freebies they all are in conditions that are pretty average for the play they have recieved, so they shouldn't have any trouble.

    Sega 32X Games:
    - Shadow Squadron (Sega) - CIB. Near mint.
    - Space Harrier (Sega) - CIB. Box a little crushed.
    - Virtua Racing Deluxe (Sega) - CIB. Near mint.
    - Star Wars Arcade (Lucas Arts) - CIB. Box a little crushed.
    - Doom (id Software) - CIB. Slight crushing damage.
    - Metal Head (Sega) - CIB. Slight crushing damage.
    - Virtia Fighter (Sega) - CIB. Small tear on bottom flap.
    - Cosmic Carnage (Sega) - CIB. Slight wear.
    - Zaxxon's Motherbase 2000 - CIB. Crushing damage; puncture on front sleeve.
    - Corpse Killer (Digital Pictures) - 32X CD. CIB, mint inside and out.
    - Night Trap (Digital Pictures) - 32X CD. CIB, mint inside, near mint outside except for sticker on lower left of box. Starring ex Diff'rent Strokes star-cum-druggie Dana Plato, who has aged surprisingly well, but still can't act.
    - Supreme Warrior (Digital Pictures) - 32X CD. CIB, mint inside and out.

    Other Genesis-related stuff:
    - Book: Sega Genesis Secrets Vol. 1 (Prima). Tips, cheats 'n stuff for tons of Genesis games.
    - Book: Sega Genesis Secrets Vol. 3 (Prima). More tips, cheats 'n stuff for tons more Genesis games.

Holy heavenly crap. Dude, that alone took me over an hour and a half to write, but there you have it. A very large and mostly boxed Sega Genesis collection with some very nice items indeed.

    And the price? $200! [SOLD!]

You can't beat that with a stick.

Please note that due to the large size and weight of this bundle, shipping will be a fairly hefty penny.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    2. Sega Game Gear Bundle [SOLD!]

Here's a nice little lot for you. Includes:

    - Sega Game Gear - Boxed Sonic 2 System
An excellent condition Sega Game Gear (standard edition) with a good condition box (light wear) and plastic insert. No manual or other paperwork included.
    - Sonic & Tails - loose. Bundled with system.
    - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - NIB, sealed and mint.
    - Sonic Chaos - loose.
    - X-Men: Mojo World - CIB. Box is slightly crushed. Includes box, manual, cartridge and cart case.
    - Disney's The Jungle Book - NIB, sealed and mint.
    - Caesar's Palace - NIB, sealed and mint.
    - Shinobi (Tectoy) - loose. Brazilian release version.
    - Tom and Jerry: The Movie - loose.
    - Robocop vs. Terminator - loose.

As a bonus, I'll also throw in a still-sealed 9" Sonic plush doll, a promotional item from Denny's.

    Price: $40 [SOLD!]

    ----------------------------------------------------

    3. Sega Master System "Big Bootay" Bundle [SOLD!]
Ah, now here's a nice'un. I submit for your consideration the following:

    - Sega Master System Power Base - CIB-!
A very nice box with carrying handle and some light wear, containing original styrofoam container and lid (small chip missing from lid), the Master System power base, two controllers, light phaser, AC adapter, manual, Master System manual, light phaser manual, and parts list and order form. Note that there is no RF included, but it takes a standard RCA cable and either a TV/Game switchbox or an RCA-to-Coax adapter. This is the model without the built-in games.

You also get a nice lot of games:

    - Alien Syndrome - Box and cart only. Very good condition.
    - Miracle Warriors - CIB. Includes box, cart, manual and map. Very good condition; map has some bends from being stored tightly in the box.
    - Global Defense - CIB. Very good condition. Manual is bent from being too big to fit inside the tabs. (No, I don't know what they were thinking)
    - F-16 Fighting Falcon - CIB. Includes box, card and manual. Very good condition.
    - Ariel: The Little Mermaid - Box and cart only. Brazilian TecToy release. Cover was missing, but I made a reproduction for it, which looks quite nice. Cart label has some wear.
    - Rampage - CIB, excellent condition. One of my favourite arcaders.
    - Casino Games - Box and cart. Very good condition.
    - Golvellius: Valley of Doom - Box and cart. Good condition. Sticker remnants on cover (Goo Gone will take care of that)
    - Altered Beast - CIB. Good condition.
    - Vigilante - Box and cart. Cover is a reproduction. Label has some wear and a price sticker.
    - Wonder Boy - Box and cart. Some wear to front sleeve. Otherwise good condition.
    - Great Soccer - Box and cart. Back of sleeve held on with tape. Edge wear to cart label.
    - Great Baseball - Box and cart. Chunk out of edge of case where it's cracked on front cover. Edge wear to cart label.

    - Marksman Shooting and Trap Shooting - Box and cart. Good condition.

Oh God, I need a coffee. But there it is - a nice nearly CIB SMS with 30 games, all boxed. Sweet, no?

    Price: $100[SOLD!]

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Sega CDX!
The last of the Sega 16-bit line, the CDX combines the Genesis and the Sega CD into one tiny unit not much bigger than a portable CD player. Features a backlit LCD display at the front and the cart port at the back. And yes, this unit works with the 32X. This is a pretty rare little unit, being the last of its lineage, so if you've been looking for one, better grab it.

Unit comes with a 6-button Sega game pad, AC adapter and an A/V cable.

    Price:[SOLD!]

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Sega IR7000 Communicator Organizers [SOLD]
Say what? Yes. Sega organizers. Actually, these are kinda funky little units. Features 4k of storage with the usual assortment of organizer features - Phone book, world time, calendar, calculator, currency converter, alarm clock and note pad. What makes this a little on the unique side is that it features an infrared communications port in the back that allows you to send and recieve messages with someone else who has the same unit. What's more is that it also features a built-in game that I can only describe as some sort of simplistic wizard battle type game where you try and cast spells at each other until one of you is dead. The game can be played solo or over IR with another unit. Also features a dot matrix LCD display with icons to represent the various functions, a QWERTY keyboard, and a double-hinged flip-top lid that can be flipped right around to the back for comfort.

I have two of these available at the amazingly low price of just $10 for the pair! [SOLD]

    ----------------------------------------------------

Coleco Galaxian tabletop arcade unit [SOLD!]
Y'know, the gameplay on this thing really surprised me -- it's actually quite good! It reproduces the original arcade gameplay at least as well as can be expected for an LED game. The unit itself is in perfect working condition. Physically, it is in fair condition -- all of the stickers are there, as is the battery compartment, but there is some glue spotting on the labels, and the control panel sticker does have the upper left and right corners torn off, and the label is peeling on the side. Otherwise, a very good little unit.

    Price: [SOLD!]

    ----------------------------------------------------

Brazilian Dactar 2600 console - boxed and modded!
Though the box on this thing shows considerable wear, this is still a really funky import for you collectors. Looks like a 4-switch Vader unit, except the Dactar logo is molded into the top grille. A standard AC adapter is provided as a replacement for the Brazilian AC, which has a different plug configuration, but I'm including the original for completeness' sake. Also included is the system's original manual, but it won't help much if you can't read spanish. But best of all, the unit has been modded for A/V output! Brazilian consoles, you see, are PAL-M, which is mostly compatible with NTSC, but when played on an NTSC television through standard RF, it will only display in black & white. With this A/V mod, you can play it on a modern TV in full colour. And yes, it plays all standard Atari 2600 games.

    Price: $80

    ----------------------------------------------------

[NEW!] Atari Lynx II - 2 units - for parts + box, manual, game [NEW!]

Got two Lynx II units here that both have problems of one sort or another.

Unit 1: Doesn't power on at all, even on AC.
Unit 2: Works fine except it thinks someone's pressing "right" on the D-pad. I tried fixing this one, but it appears to be a problem that's beyond my admittedly limited technical skills. If you're handy (excuse the pun) with this sort of thing, this would be a good experimental lot.

And so it's not totally worthless, I'm also including an original Lynx II box (no cardboard inserts), the Lynx II manual, and an Electrocop game card.

    Price: $20

    ----------------------------------------------------

[NEW!] NeoGeo Pocket Color Games [NEW!]

I got into NGPC almost by luck, but it's a damn cool unit! Got a couple of dupes available for it here:

    - Metal Slug: First Mission (CIB) - Includes box, manual, warranty card, cart and case. Box has a little wear and slight crushing damage. $5 [PENDING]
    - Samurai Showdown (Cart & case only) - $4 [PENDING]

    ----------------------------------------------------

Lord almighty, I think I'm going to go soak my fingers in Rub A-535.

That's all for now folks, but that may not be all in its entirety -- I may add more things if I come across any. Not that this pile isn't enough to keep you busy for a while yet -- assuming you've even managed to read down this far.

Feel free to respond or PM as you see fit.

I'll take the IR7000 Organizers if you'll ship them to the UK.

Okay, let's go in order here:

@anagrama: Shipping to the UK would be US $13. I can cheapen that drastically if you want them in simple bubble envelopes, but I really don't reccommend that, as you'd like as not have them arrive with their covers smashed to bits.

@TheRedEye: Shipping both of those would have to be done in two separate boxes due to the size. (The Genesis lot alone is quite a significant box) Shipping for both would be about US $40.

And finally, I've had a number of requests for pics of those organizers, so here's a scan. The top one is the unit with the lid closed. The bottom is the unit, turned on to the main menu, with the lid flipped round to the back.
