Default Am I the only one that loves my DS

i have been noticing a lot of people (not all just a lot) are dissing the Nintendo DS. Myself i love my DS. True, it dosnt have the biggest library, but it is backwards compatable. Plus i like the little carts, and i say once company really warm up to the touch screen you will see a lot of nice, quirky uses for it. So if youre a big DS fan post ur love, if you don't give a good reason ( no it sucks 'cause PSP is better.)

I'm not much of a fan of your DS, but mine is pretty bitching...

The System is Great, the slick new cases are... slick, and it does have an Excellent line-up. Its problem is exactly what everyone keeps mentioning, Between Launch and Now, we've seen little support. But March is the month to end all that! Pac Pix, Yoshi Touch and Go, Polarium... yay!

I'll start loving it more when Castlevania, Metroid: Hunters and Yoshi Touch all come out. I'd also love to import Goemon some time, but since I haven't seen any sort of review or gameplay footage yet it may be awhile.

I'm sure there are other DS fans out there. Somewhere..........

Oh, and about the tiny cartridges...aren't they kindof TOO small? I mean, maybe it's a scheme by Nintendo, so that people will lose them and then buy them again.

We've gotten a ton traded back in at my EB Games. Most of them are using the money to preorder the PSP.

you're not alone. i only have warioware and sm64ds, and i love it. sure the library is lackluster, but if we have to wait for more titles they better be worth it

I for one, love my DS as well. Granted I only have SM64DS, and Wario Ware, and I really feel that the software selection thus far is too small and none of the titles (except for the 2 I mentioned, IMO) are all that exciting. Nevertheless, things will turn around.

For all of you hating on the DS and its (lack of) games, remember when the PS2 launched: All the launch titles were sub-standard. I baught 2 games with my PS2 on launch day, and returned both, and did not have a single PS2 game for 6 months because none of the games interested me. Having a slow launch does not mean a system will fail. There have been systems in the past with a slow start that did just fine.

Way too many people are jumping to conclusions, making outlandish statements like Nintendo is already abandoning the platform.

I love my ds too. In all honesty all the titles I have are really fun (SM64DS, Mr Driller, Feel the Magic) and I haven't even beaten all of them completely yet, so I don't feel there's a huge lack of software. It just equates to one game a month that's plenty for me. Plus I still haven't gotten wario or zoo keeper which look like they are tons of fun too. I have fun playing it and that's really all that matters right?

Nope. I've learnt to NEVER EVER buy a system until it's been out at LEAST a year or two. The Saturn taught me that.

I have Fell the Magic, and I Finally got my Hori screen protectors in, so I finally played it, and damn is it fun.

Btw, those Hori screen protectors are impossible to get on without having some hair/air bubbles get under them. OH well, atleast the screen is protected, not like the hair/bubbles harm anything.

I've already expressed my love for the DS in a thread a couple days ago, don't feel like pimpin' it back up this morning.

Just want to let you know you're not alone, and I love my DS more than you. :P
