    Default FS: Famicom Box Hotel

My friend has a Famicom Box Hotel unit that he picked up overseas awhile ago. Is there any interest in it?! He wants a decent amount because they're pretty rare.

It has two controllers and 10 games: Super Mario, Mah-jong, Pro Wrestling, Baseball, Golf, Duck Hunt, F1 Race, and three other games I don't really know what they are. I haven't heard of them before.

Here's what the unit looks like:

That guy would have sold his house to get one ! That gives you an idea of how rare it is.

Let me know, PM me if you want. I'll try to gather a picture.

If you want to talk to the guy whose site you refer to....(ASSEMbler)

He can be found on his forum at www.assemblergames.com

He's always interested in the obscure.

Depends on the price, and if it's in Japan. It's a heavy SOB

I have one too, and I highly suggest picking it up instead of shipping it. Also make sure it has the key to the lock!

    Here's a quick update..

A few people have PM'd me..

Answer #1: No the unit is not in Japan still. It's here in New Jersey.

All other answers: I've only saw the unit once or twice. I'm going to try to get more info for you as well as hopefully a picture ASAP!

Another thing before I go out for the night.. the unit weighs about 34-38 pounds. I did get that information so far. So if I look on the USPS website it's like $63 to ship to California. I just picked a random zipcode out in Los Angeles. That's for 2 day Priority. $76 for overnight. So, let's say with packing it's 42 pounds.. shipping will be about $74 to California for 2 day Priority and $87 overnight.

That's not too bad considering the rarity of the item someone would be getting.

Monday night is bowling night, so I have to run for now. More info will be posted hopefully tommorow.

Yeah, I pm'd everyone. He was asking $750 for the unit.. works fine, but has a crack in the bottom right. Kind of pricey if you ask me, but then again I don't really know what the unit is worth.
