Got my "Pure Evil" RE4 Demo Disc

I got my Resident Evil 4 demo disc thanks to my last minute purchase of the Pure Evil double pack. It was rather interesting -- I got the disc in just a paper sleeve with an ad for Viewtiful Joe 2 on it. I feel pretty lucky to actually get it, as the sticker on the top broke during shipping so when I picked it up, the disc literally fell into my hand.

I haven't checked it out yet, but with only 10,000 of these made and the fact it contains a "Resident Evil Retrospective" along with the other stuff interests me. Has anyone else got theirs yet?

i got one too, about a month ago. i still havnt gotten around to really playing it (and i dont own re4), since i also got an xbox and around 8 games about two weeks earlier.
the sticker on mine came loose as well, and the disc got caught on it, resulting in a bit of sticker residue on the data side of the disc..

You got these when you purchased the Pure Evil Resident Evil double pack for the GameCube. There was a code where you went to a Web site and if you were one of the first 10,000 to request it and requested before the end of January, you got a free demo disc.

I feel pretty lucky... I requested my disc on January 31st. I guess that means less than 10,000 of these discs were made.

I played with it a little last night. There are movies of all the different RE games on it. I watched three of them. Both RE0 and RE1 have Japanese subtitles, which I found odd. Pretty nifty little disc though!

I believe it's the same disc as the "keep-case" RE4 demo, it just has a paper packaging.

I got mine too about a month ago.

It's really cool, as it has video trailers for REmake, RE0, RE2, RE3, RE:CV and RE4. Plus a nice playable RE4 demo.

Yes, but this is a US demo disc.

The video clips of the games are more than likely clips of the Japanese versions, which I think was his point.

It sounds a lot like the bonus disc with the RE4 Cube being released over here, except this one has a playable demo of Metroid Prime 2 on it (or at least with it) as well. Sketchy details on the Game site:

I'm thinking about picking one up this Friday, but I'm having trouble convincing myself that I need to spend an extra £50 and have two Cubes rather than just buy the game...

I don't know... even so, that is still very odd to me.

If you watch them, you'll see what I mean. They seem to be more than just simple subtitles, but more like statements about the games. I can't imagine it would have taken Capcom more than a day to take them out, and I haven't seen any of the RE titles released in the US with Japanese subtitles, so I find it interesting.

That having been said, for the price (free with Pure Evil double pack) I really can't complain.

Thats what I already ordered...but I'm assuming what they have is different (at least in packaging). Thats what I'm trying to figure out.

yeah, even if the disc is the same, i would like to see the packing and what it all came with. I would love to have both versions.
