    Default Cart Cleaning

    Happy Holidays everyone-

I hope that this isn't too dumb a question, but I just came across an Alex Kidd Genesis cart and can't get it working. I have always had success using the dry Q-tip method, but it won't work on this one. Can anyone help me get this game going, so I can quiet down my kids? Thanks for your time.

Try some rubbing alcohol on the qtip and see if that helps. If not, you might consider opening up the cart and gently using an eraser on the contacts. Failing that, you may have a bum cart. Good luck!

the problem with Genesis carts is if you put them on the carpet and push them around they die.. don't know why, guess it has to do with static electricity. I've run into more dead Genesis carts then any other system(which isn't more then 1 or 2 carts..)

    Thanks Antics.

I tried both methods, to no avail. Hard to believe it is my first dead cart! Oh well. Thanks for quick responses.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. The only bad cart I can think of that I've had was a Genesis Bonanza Brothers cart. Maybe Raedon's on to something...
