    Default Coleco Tabletop Pac-man

I need help taking apart a Pac-Man coleco tabletop. I have 2 desent ones and I want to combine the best parts to make 1 good one (mainly switching the joysticks). I've taking the screws out and the thing looks like its suppose to slide apart but its stuck on something and I can't figure out how to get the dang thing apart. Can anyone help me please?

    thanks

It's a *real* bitch. I got one apart once, carefully, and still cracked the PCB of the unit. I was able to bridge the broken traces so it still worked, but it was very difficult.

Unless your joystick is missing or something, swapping it will do nothing. It's not the stick that determines responsiveness, but the leaf switches mounted on the PCB that are likely cracked and need replacing.

Thanks for the input guys, this thing is a total bitch to get apart, totallly has me stumped. I'm trying to do it carefully without damaging it but right now it seems pretty impossible.

and omnedon, the joystick is broken so that's why I'm going through all this crap, but right now I'm having second thoughts.

I didn't think the joystick was gonna be as big as it is, so I figured I'd pop it out and pop it back in, oh but was I wrong.

    thanks

ok i finally got this apart and put back together and have a pretty nice looking/working tabletop. So I guess you can lock this and let it disappear.

And thanks for all the advice guys.
