Default Best place to buy USED next-gen games

I'm looking for a place to buy used next gen games. The only places I go to are EB and GameStop and very often buying used in those places for platforms such as PS2, or GameCube is absurd. The difference between New and Used might for example be $5-$3 ...sometimes the new game is cheaper than the used game which is even more crazy.

So where do you guys go for used PS2, GCN titles?

You could try pawn shops and dirt malls (flea markets, to those non-Mallrats among us).

The savings are more significant with the discount card. Also, you might want to limit most of your purchases to the buy 2 get 3rd free sales. You can save a ton that way. For me, there is no other retail option.

Unfortunately no (at least I don't think there is). Your best bet is to look in the phone book. Or get in a car and drive to the shittiest part of town...you'll probably find a bunch there.

About 90% of my used PS2/GC/Xbox games come from pawns. Just found this new store that sells them all at $8 each and got some good ones from there. Most pawns here sell them around $15 each though. Still not bad.

When summer finally gets here don't forget about yard sales. I know that sounds kinda stupid but i have found all sorts for PS2 games for like $5.00 to $10.00 each. plus you can usually talk people down or get some kind of deal if you buy them all.

    hmmm thats 2 bad.

I might just start using those buy 2 get 1 deals at GS and EB

after all some of their used prices are right...but you just have to know what you are doing when you go shopping there. Last time I went there they had a bunch of new games marked down from 29 to 20 or something...but their used counter-parts were still $25 a pop...WTF!

For Pawn Shops, just head to http://yp.yahoo.com/, type "pawn shop" into the search, and click "Search" (you'll probably then have to enter your addresss)

when stores have huge sales (70% at toysrus, $5 game sale at circuit city, etc.), and gamefly generally has some deals, but i usually look at cheapassgamer.com every once in a while to see whats up with sales

You may want to check out www.gamefly.com 's used game selection. Yes, they sell them too. Since the cases and manuals don't ship with the games rented, they are always mint, and the disks are professionally laser resurfaced to a mint condition.

Prices are pretty darn reasonable too! Check em out.
