while I haven't played the original taco design I've heard people say its got an excellent d-pad and there are also spaces between the buttons which I imagine would help too bad you have to take the battery out to change games though. x_x

I got my accesories today I got the MMC card expander and snap on speaker. I wonder if they had made something similar to the MMC card expander for the original N-Gage if it would have helped anything. Anyway pretty cool little thing. Its nice to be able to have access to one N-Gage game and a MMC card full of extras at the same time. I think using it might also expand the life of that little rubber flap you pull down to put the game in.

yeah, i thought the game expander was ingenius. the speaker was pretty nice, but when you can have a portable system that you can stick two games in, not having to worry about losing one, thats cool.

I haven't posted here in a long time, so I figured I would hop in and let others know how I am doing with my collection.

    I currently have 39 N-Gage games.

I have 3 left to get from the old batch (which is a deal already in the works from a fellow DP N-Gage collector).

I have 1 of the new games, Atari vol. 1.

I just ordered system rush and catan today from letstalk.com (what is that code, I didn't know it and couldn't find it, or else I would have ordered 3 games).

I have warhammer on backorder from letstalk, so I will be getting that gama as soon as it is in stock.

The only accesory that I own is the small case.

I seriously rarely play my n-gage, but I am very much enjoying collecting for it. I am acting on collecting this now before it goes the way of the virtual boy.

    EDIT:
Also, anybody got an extra cord so that I can hook my n-gage up to my computer and get some demos put onto my mmc card?

Also, has anybody played alien front online or virtua cop, I am curious about those 2 games

Not released anywhere as far as I know, though I've seen a one website with a pre-release preview of Alien Front

yeah Nokia announced Shadow Born and Hobo Island at a big N-Gage even in Spain a few months ago. They launched the Shadow Born site just after the first of the year I would think Nokia is still planning on releasing more and more games. www.shadow-born.com/

Hey, I've got a question... All the games have icons on the back of the box for "Single Player", "Multiple Players", "Bluetooth" and "Online" -- but I noticed that one of the newer ones (Atari Masterpieces Vol. 1 IIRC) has "Hot Seat" listed. What the hell is that?

Hot Seat is playing with one game pack and one system with two people. You just trade the system back and forth between turns. Works well with a game like High Seize.

That's a fun site, especially the personality profile.

It lets you take an ink-blot test and then rates you. The first one I did honestly... all the inkbnlots are obviously supposed to look like demons and monsters and hellspawns and such. Of course, I am "Shadow Born" and perfect for the game.

Then I said everything looked like "bunnies" and "panda bears" and "fluffy cats." It told me I had an unnatural obession with animals.

Then I said everything looks like "penis" and "vagina" and "breasts." Of course it told me I was a sexual deviant.

Heh, they should have called it Hot Potato...

But does it say "Hot Seat" on the High Seize box? Now I've gotta take a closer look at my boxes...

Ah, guess they didn't think about "advertising" it until later... Or maybe the publisher gets a choice, who knows.

There's no point in advertising since it's not on shelves.

But with that logic, they shouldn't have bothered listing "Hot Seat" on Atari Vol. 1 either, yet they did.

Heck, with that logic, why list any of the options anymore? Why print the insert in color? Why print an insert at all? Why bother with the box? Heck, why a cart?

Nah, they're still treating releases as if they could be found on shelves, so it's odd either that High Seize doesn't say "Hot Seat", or odd that Atari Vol. 1 does. We'll see if any other "Hot Seat" games list the option on the back insert or not I guess.

Whoa... I just got one of these in the mail and almost all the games for it (just waiting for four more to come and I'll have the whole set.) This thing is AWESOME. I know the PSP and DS outpower it, but I don't have either of those and this thing is SO SMALL! I never though I would play such a nice-looking Tomb Raider on a handheld. Damn this thing is cool. Buttons are a bitch, though. Have to get used to those. The vertical-inclined screen is not nearly as bad as I thought. This little thing really is a portable PSone.

    Now to try some emulation...

Can someone point me to an NES/SMS emulator for the Ngage? I suppose it's in this LONG thread somewhere...

here are a couple of links.

    http://ngage.dcemu.co.uk/
    http://www.zophar.net/consoles/ngage.html

the verticle screen starts to become an issue with emulators. the Vampnet GBC (http://vampent.com/emu.htm) is the best emulator for the n-gage. It plays full speed and full screen. NES plays full speed but the screen options aren't that great.

    non-gaming related

you can do other cool shit with the n-gage too like using it as a remote control for your computer (if it has blue tooth).

this site converts movies to fit your phone. nothing like a little Family Guy while waiting for the bus.
