I just got my Second Xbox. It looks like it has the Phillips DVD drive installed in it, And it will read Audio CDs, But not DVDs or Xbox game discs.

I'm hoping it just needs to dry out a little in the sun since it was kept in a basement until i got it. The previous owners tried to open it up, So i'm out of luck asking microsoft to fix it.

If you have the link to where to identify the DVD Drive, Please post it here. I'm not sure wether this Xbox is a Phillips Drive or a Thompson drive.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE:

This Xbox is a 2001 model. I tried Almost every Xbox-Compatible game On my 2001 Xbox. (I can't find Project gotham racing) 9 out of 19 games that i tested on it work. I came to a conclusion:

Perhaps this Xbox works Perfectly, Only that it does not accept later technology Xbox Games?

Only one game that i have for Xbox is a Platinum hit version, And that is Project gotham Racing, the game that i can't find.

Here are the games that i have on it:

Amped (Works on 2001 Model Xbox)
Burnout 2: Point of Impact (Developer's Cut Edtition - Does not work on 2001 Model Xbox)
Chase: Hollywood Stunt Dirver (Works on 2001 Model Xbox)
