    Default WTF emails

Ok, I know these have to be fake but wondering if this ever happened to anyone else:

Got about 7-8 emails to my emaila ccount mentioning me emailing other ebay users (investigated and all where European users with little to no feedback) asking me about second chance buying and stuff. here's some the emails:
    Dear geologist0,

***Do not reply to this email. Contact the seller at this e-mail address: bacyau@aol.com ***You expressed interest in an item titled "KRAUTKRAMER - BRANSON ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTOR USD10" (Item #7512666639) by bidding, however the auction has ended with another member as the high bidder. In compliance with eBay policy, the seller of that item is making this Second Chance Offer to you at your bid price of US $1,100.00. The seller has issued this Second Chance Offer because either the winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction. If you accept this offer, you will be able to exchange Feedback with the seller and will be eligible for eBay services associated with a transaction, such as fraud protection. To purchase this item, don't reply to this mail, just contact the seller at bacyau@aol.com . Thank you, eBay, Inc ***Do not reply to this email. Contact the seller at this e-mail address: bacyau@aol.com ***
Basically that's the gist of all the emails, just different items. Trying to report them through the email sent leads me to a page saying I'm the user haressing these other members.

Should I just plain report it to ebay or take other action?

i didn't ask for a smartass answer from anyone. I did report it and was mainly wondering if this had happened to anyone else around here.

If you've tried to report them, then you've done what you can. Just delete the emails.

I've gotten one or half a dozen of those second chance emails too, but I knew they were fake because the items I wanted pratically appear on Ebay once-in-a-lifetime. I got a second chance offer on the Gunstar Heroes soundtrack. Yeah... right.

Just quit responding to them. They're like gnats; insignificant and annoying only if you allow them to be.

I never replied to them. I reported and deleted them. Now 2 days later my account gets suspended because of them and since i can't sign in, I can't appeal or contact ebay correctly to report my side.

Wow... you got suspended for reporting these? That's jacked up. Have you tried posting in the eBay community forums (you can always just create a new account to post) and explaining your situation? Someone out there ought to be able to help you out.

I'm actually on Live Chat now. Apperently someone's accessed my account by a third party to send out all of those emails and I was suspended to put a stop to them. Trying to reverify my id and everything to get reinstated.

Password and stuff are reset and back on ebay. Live Chat helped and they're going to deal with the problem of those 3rd parties.

    Kaine....how could you? ;-;

At least you've figured out that it is fake...that puts you ahead of the game! Or, at least, in a better position than the countless marching morons who've gone ahead and followed the instructions to the letter. BOY, I'LL BE RICH!

I don't understand. How are they scamming you? Obviously you didn't bid on the item in question, right? They're not asking for a password... what's the trick????

    "Dances with spelling" am I?!

Yes, that peanut butter doesn't make Mr. Ed spell any better than he speaks. Don't trust him with women or term papers.

I have tried several times to get some help from the E-Bay community pages, but just about everything that I post gets some smart a$$ replies. Come to think of it, I don't think that I have ever gotten any good advice from there, except on the photo pages.
