Best Fami/Nesclone ever! Well, I hope so, but knowing Messiah's reputation, it's going to rock.
Hey....I don't see anywhere to pre order on that link...

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
Why hasn't this thread exploded yet? This is the real Nintendo revolution, and damn, I am going to get one.
Just as soon as I hear about how it handles sound.
sounds cool but the link doesn't work for me
I screwed up the initial post -- had an extra period in the link. Should work fine now.Originally Posted by Six Switch

Thats cause there is a "period" at the end of the link. Just delete it and it works.Originally Posted by Six Switch
This looks really sweet. I might have to pick one up at CGE to go along with my Messiah NES controllers.
Do any NES games a the rumble feature?
Eicay varee', eisee' nardee'
Can you dig it, yes I can.
Nope, not if you mean that the controller is shaking. Was no such thing as rumble back in NES days. Think PSX was the first who got this feature.Originally Posted by syzygy
That's a really pretty piece of hardware, and I LOVE the idea! I guess I'll probably order one online and pick it up at CGE, but maybe just buy one there. How many are you bringing to CGE by chance, or do you know yet?
Dear god. That is freakin' awesome!!!!!! It's cheaper than a top-loader, has AV input, and plays famicom games?! I'm all over this if the sound is accurate. :Begins to fervently save up cash:
"First, we have aspirin. A common cure for things that aspirin cures. Leads to.....rabies."
The question is:
Does it play Castlevania III?
If so, it just might be the best way to play NES games.
N64, actually. I think the first game to have it was Starfox 64.Originally Posted by jajaja

I'm totally stoked. Is anybody going to manufacture new cartridges for this thing? I'll get one anyway, but I think it would be interesting if some NES carts went back into print. I don't think it'd be worthwhile to start pressing up SMB3 and Final Fantasy, because games like that are common as dirt. But maybe some old Capcom games, or some of the more obscure Mega Man titles would be neat. Something like that.
It's...another Famiclone. At that price, they'd better deliver what they're promising, but even so I don't see any features there to interest me.
Final Fantasy as common as dirt?
Anyway I have to say I'm more excited about this than the new consoles at the moment. I've been wanting a top loader for a while, but I think this tops my most wanted list now. Perfection is the only word I can think of.
guess i can play imports and stuff finally.........if i get my hands on this
on a side note, i found some japanese carts at a pawn today. i think they are super nintendoish....do ya have to have a adapter or something for them to work?

Is it really impossible to put S-video output on a famiclone? I've yet to see one company do it.
Wow, there's my first purchase at CGE. That's incredible.
The big features that i see are the fact that it's a top-loader, with decent AV Outputs. The other things are nice extra's, but those two are the selling points for me.Originally Posted by Ed Oscuro
That's always been my big problem with the NES. I love my top loader, but in order to use it - You sacrifice picture quality. Outside of modifying my current NES, this seems to be the best possible solution. Not that i'm going to buy it, but i am considering it
One thing i believe this will do: Is kill the premium price paid on the secondary market for Top loaders. Outside of just having one for the "Collection." There isn't a need for it with this. Assuming of course that it works as advertised.

I got to see their prototype in action at E3. The thing is REALLY slick. It looks like a next-gen NES, that is, same colors but like a slimline version, all thin and polished. front slot takes NES, top slot takes Famicom. The rumble feature works for ALL games - it's a neat trick where they split the sound signal from the game and send a portion of it to the controller. The wireless option is the icing on the cake. You can play with virtually no sign that you even have a game console around. Slide all the parts into a drawer to stash them away if you must, but DAMN if you won't look cool with this sleek NES update on your TV.
Messiah does quality work and this product is no exception. I've already got my pre-order in!
This is, quite frankly, the most awesome thing I've seen in several years. Even better than the Revolution (although I'm still somewhat psyched about that, too).
I don't know if I'll pre-order for something that's shipping in September, but come August I certainly will.
