Default Rare Mega Drive game on ebay...

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=8178630221

Jap version is given an R0 in the online guide so I'm guessing these things don't crop up that often. The £250 price tag is also another good hint.

All Japanese MD games are currently R0 in the DB (and will remain so until a suitable expert steps forward - I know the PAL side pretty well, but am hazy at best with Japanese rarity).

That said, all the Acclaim releases are amongst the rarest Japanese MD games - Japanese gamers generally shunned Western-developed games back then, and Acclaim put minimal effort into promoting them, meaning huge price-tags for awful games today.

And like almost all dojar's BIN prices, that one's 'optimistic' at best.

I'm scared. He used to have a copy of True Lies with some sun fading on the spine...for the LONGEST time.

I also know Dojar sold a copy of Battle Mania with a REPRINTED insert. Said so in the auction.

If it said so in the auction, don't whine.

I'd buy that if it weren't so ridiculously expensive.

It DOESN'T say that in this auction, and you know how people are. The winning bidder most likely didn't see it in that other auction.

So we've got games floating around with reproduced inserts that the buyers aren't aware of, thanks to dojar.

I'm trying to help everybody out here by bringing this up - I'd hope you guys would do the same for me and help me avoid some bum deals. I think it's quite possible the insert in this one is an undeclared repro.

Lets be fair here - there was one reproduction which he clearly stated. How does that equal multiple repros that the buyers aren't aware of?

Given the amount he pulls in on a regular basis, I doubt that dojar would try passing a repro off as an original - why risk his rep for that?

I was disapointed that http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=8165650651 was a bit too much sunfaded too spend such an amount on, if it was mint I was willing to pay even more, but in this condition I won't buy it.

Hope I'm not ganna be feeling sorry about it, if I can't find any other copy in the future. On the other hand the sundamge which you can see is allready really bad, and he didn't post a pic of the sideart, which I think he had to do for a game which he mention sunfade. I'm Afraid the ide is comepletly white instead of yellow. So I will pass and try to find one somewhere else.

Also I think his prices are quite high, but the games are ultrarare and especially hard to find in the west. So on that point I can't blame him asking such prices. I think the games which are in the hunders of pounds all should be R8 to R9. But it's a bit strange on somepoint to pay big prices for games with sometimes even the same artwork (Spiderman vs Venom Maximum Carnage has even the Euro-megadrive logo) and which cost only a few bucks in domestic version.

Save your money for the Megadrive WWF Raw, sharp - that's the real rarity!

He does have a pretty amazing supply of truly hard to find games. But, as has been said, his prices can be a bit OTT.

Incidentally, I have a cart only copy of this (in vgc):

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...PcY_BIN_Stores

Open to offers, if anyone is interested! And I won't even ask half of Dojar's price I'll even get you a Genesis Manual to go with it if you want .. then you'll have half the manuals too!

He had a copy of this exact same game up for months and months; I never saw it sell. Now he has a copy without a sun faded insert. I wouldn't take any chances on that.

Sorry but I first would love to have a complete Super 32X colelction and I know the Megadrive version seems to be ven rarer. Oh and about a loose Virtual Bart, no inytrest as I only collect complete games, and I will never find a japanese box and manual, so no thanks.

Does a Japanese MD WWF Raw actually exist?
I had it in an earlier version of the DP list, but was told by a contributor that it was never actually released there.

As far as I know it is released. It is mentioned at the official Sega site, also I saw pictures on some Japanese Sega site sometime ago, but I can't find it back at the moment.

Yeah, I thought I had seen it mentioned before but couldn't verify it. I'll look into it again when I get the chance...

Very rare, but maybe not top 5 rare as some people would have you believe - maybe...it's damned hard to get a fix on things with only eBay and a few import sites to go by :/
