    Default GBA versus . . . The PS2?

In Nintendo Power, vol. 183, pg 24 there is a preview of "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories" for the GBA. In a caption under one screenshot, NP claims "The cut scenes in Chain of Memories are absolutely astonishing. They look just like the PS2 game."

Ok, I know it's from NP, so I kinda had to laugh. I LOVED this game on PS2, but I haven't gotten it for GBA yet. Can anyone comfirm or deny this claim? If it is even half true, I absolutely must get this game.

Well the game does feature a CG intro and cutscreens in it from what I understand. I don't know if you could say they're as good as the PS2 version having never actually played the game. Though from what I've seen from the net, magazines and commercials they look pretty good. Especially when you consider it's running off of a small GBA cart and not a DVD.

try the rom. or just buy it, its a good overall game, and the story directly relates to the events that will unfold in KH2 for ps2, so if you dont wanna be lost you might as well play it, its 30 bucks i beleive.

Just to be the voice of common sense, it's very capable of doing cutscenes that rival the PS2. They are after all, cut scenes. The GBA has TV shows on cartridge, so why would this be implausible? Shit, Shrek and Shrek II are coming to GBA Video. It's not that the GBA would have to render the characters, because it's all prerendered....after all, it's a cutscene.

Just to confirm yes it indeed looks just as good as the PS2 version. The cutscenes that is. the rest are pure GBA.

I would say that they are slightly better than the N64, not the PS2. It may just be the screen though, I would be interested to see KH CoM on the GBA player with a larger monitor.
if you can read this congratulations!! you can read

Yeah, actually I am serious. Or, I am serious that Nintendo Power actually claimed that.

I think JJNova is right. I had forgotten, but I have a few cartoons for my GBA, and they look fine. So yeah, I guess I could believe that the cutscenes look as good as the PS2.

It is a funny comparison though.
