This thread isn't worth much these days without Nicola.
Wait wait! Here I am!
The bay has many protos today, for various systems. These aren't hard to spot, but I find that 2 particular auctions are worth discussing here:
PC Engine Turbo 16 Development System Made by Sharp and a great collection of concept art. Not the original ones, but very interesting anyway!
This is not a PC Engine dev system. This seller has already been e-mailed by several people from the Assembler forum that this is just a stock Sharp X-1 Twin and yet he refuses to update his listing. It's not worth all that much as they are available frequently on Yahoo.JP. It's basically just a combination of a Sharp X-1 computer and a PC Engine, kind of like the Sega/Amstrad Mega PC.
Gold plated 2600
What do you think about this one?

Do you remember these M2 kiosk units were sold for 60 each by a seller who had a lot?
Why didn't I buy one...

We all know it's a fake, but I thought you might be interested to know that this is the guy that said he had the zelda 3 proto for nes some time ago. No, not the guy from Canada who tried to sell zelda 3 on ebay and said that Silicone Knights bought it, but the guy who had an article on his site (ratedo.com). He had an article and a discussion and said it worked great. Then he got mad when everybody pressured him to prove it and said he wouldn't prove it because everybody was being mean. Then he said it stopped working (but he had a really bad title screen picture and movie and crap). Then he pretended to sell it on his site or something like that...
Yeah, so now he's trying to trick people into buying badly faked protos on ebay.
Have you seen the original Vay art?
It's Victor Ireland who is selling stuff and singed sealed games.
Just out of curiosity.
I doubt that you didn't notice this one, but I'm posting it here too:
