Resident Evil 1.5 backgrounds - found!

Lots of backgrounds from 1.5 are hidden away in the Biohazard 2 trial, from what I've read. Good job for the programmer/designer who put those in! Some relevant links (courtesy of Redfox McBeth, of the BrainBread mod forums):

Yeah, I've known of this for awhile now, but NEVERTHELESS, this was some of the greatest RE 1.5 news we've gotten in a long time, if not ever.

So, celebrate people. Hopefully soon we will have RE 1.5.

What is Resident Evil 1.5? And what do these backgrounds mean?

Resident Evil 1.5 is the codename that the original, SCRAPPED version of Resident Evil 2 got. There apparently are some movies out there floating around (I guess that site should have them, haven't checked it out for a while).

From what I've read, RE 1.5 was going to have shutters to open and close in the police station and different types of clothing that could carry more or less on them. I like the final version of the police station very much, but it would be cool to see this completed.

You know, this is an instance where I think that a resurrected game idea could work pretty well. I think more people (like me) love the old play style of RE more than they would admit :)

I looks like they used some of these backgrounds in the final game. Like the monitor room is there just with different colors.

Scapped because it's too similar to the first game? Newsflash, Res 2 still is.

But looking at the story, it seems a huge amount has been altered, making good guys bad, playable guys dead meat, etc.

Still, damn that looks like something I'd want to pop in my PS.
