Default A short review of Coded Arms

I've played it a little bit and have come up with a list of things.

--This game makes up for the debacle that Rengoku: Tower of Purgatoy was. (you can actually strafe and fight more than one enenmy at a time)
--The homages (blatent rip-offs?) to Tron and The Matrix are easily seen (down to the cascading green code and the hacker invading a secure system motiff)
--This game, while fun--gives me a headache due to the vantage point.
--The enemy AI is unpredictable and some enemies will bum rush you.
--The game takes ten seconds to load each area (of course, like Resident Evil, this is "part of the atmosphere"
--Unlike Metal Gear Acid...you can actually skip sequences that you don't want to see for the umpteenth time.
--The weapon/defense system allows you to mix and match program attributes; ala Tron 2.0

    Probably makes a great multi-player...

Did this come out in the U.S. yet or do you have the Japanese version? I havn't been to a game store in awhile but they don't have a review of it on gamespot yet so I wasn't sure.

I bought it yesterday at an EBgames store.
Oh yes, and the game does NOT require a firmware update past 1.5 (interesting to note though, the 1.5 update is available on the UMD)

I really didn't like the game. I thought it was missing something, but couldn't guess what it was. It needed more time to finalize.
All my meseta if you can guess what CMTZ stands for.

I haven't played too many FPS, but I am enjoying this game. I just started the first level after the training and I am wondering if this game is going to get a bit repetitive...

EGM didn't rate it too highly (something like a 5 out of 10?), but it still looks cool. I may eventually get a PSP just for Twisted Metal, but I'll wait until the price drops and Sony works the quality issues out of the hardware much like they did the early PSone and PS2.

Thanks for indulging my gaming habit when I was young, Dad. You were the best. I miss you. ~David Barnes 1926-2007~
