Is this the game shark which allows you to play Japanese games on a U.S. Saturn?

Awhhhhh, the bunnies on the bottom of that page are soooo super cute! I don't know much about the Game Shark for Saturn, but I think it was kinda like a swap device. You loaded off it and then put the game in or something. This was probably at the very begining of the game copy phase so I think it was like a almost legal swap device. Don't know if it will play Japanesse games however.
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!

Im dont think the gameshark works as an "Import Enabler" so to speak, but If you want to play imports Id suggest getting it modded, or even buying a japanese model.

The slot you put the gameshark is the same slot as the memory expansion cards go in, which im sure you know. However, Ive heard many rumblings about how the board on the 3rd party cartriges is slightly larger than the sega carts, thus the pins in the saturn get spread out, and its hard to use a first party cart because the contacts arent right.

But if you still want to go the cartrige-import route, Id suggest one of the many 4 in 1 converters that can be had for the same price as a gameshark.

I used to use the GS to play imports. I THINK you had to hold X+Y+Z and then select "Start Game Without Enhancements" although I have not done this in quite a few years! It doesn't work with any games using the 1MB or 4MB carts though (obviously).

I have one laying around but no imports to test it with unfortunately. I may be wrong about the buttons, but I know this works as I used to fire up the Japanese Fighting Vipers for some Pepsiman action.

I can't say whether or not the Game Shark will do it, but the famous Action Replay 4-in-1 is only very slightly more expensive.

Import player, Action Replay cheat device, RAM expansion, and save backup, all in one cartridge. Mine works great for running imports.

A Satur Gameshark will let you play import games. Just hold down XYZ and press start. It's what I've used to play all my import games. You can even use codes for import games if you happen to know the codes for that game.

But it won't work with games that require those 1/4mb memory since it doesn't have that in it. It's been awhile but I think the memory it has is just something for gamesaves that you have to manually place in it. I don't think the Saturn can actually read off of it like an official memory card in-game.
