Default Random pics of my arcade, and why I'm selling stuff

    Hey,

I figured some people might find this interesting... this is what happens when arcade collecting gets out of control . I am selling a bunch of games on ebay though, so I should be able to return to my normal living conditions soon enough .

Wow man, that is pretty damn insane!!! I would slow way down on buying games. I think you should stop buying new games and fix all the ones you currently have that don't work. After all that is said and done you should then either sell a bunch of them for the games you want, or keep them. Cause right now you have way too many junkers.
I think that alot of collectors of Arcade games buy them broken with plans to fix them up, but they end up taking to long to fix them, and then they just have tons and tons of broken crap sitting around.

Heh... I KNOW that I need to slow down, but when a deal comes up, I just can't resist! Although most of the broken games are pretty new, so now I'm making room by selling a bunch of working games that I don't really play anymore.

Oh... in case you didn't see my selling post, here's the link to my auctions: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQ...sassZcooler017 .

I think that's pretty common. I was up to 30 video games and 2 pins a few years ago. Now I'm at a managable 10 vids and the 2 pins.

    BTW, nice taste in games.

Man that is insane bro! Good luck on the sales and on eventually getting that futon into a horizontal position!

Hehe... thanks guys! I don't think it's very uncommon for this to happen, it seems like the deals roll in all at a single time. I've had this same situation 3 or 4 times, although usually it's when I come home from auctions .

And I WILL get the futon horizontal again eventually .

Auctions and "clean up day at the local vending companies". I picked up 11 or 12 games from one because supposedly none of them worked. Donkey Kong Jr needed a new power cord and most of the other ones just needed cables or chips reset or replaced. Really basic stuff but because they didn't really have an in-house tech. they didn't have a clue.

    Again, nice collection!

Oh yeah... I love it when places don't know what they're doing... I just picked up 5 broken 25" monitors for $10 each and got them all working with about $20 worth of parts and a few hours of work... most had blown rectifier diodes (someone must not have used an isolation transformer when testing :P ), one had a blown HOT, some had burned traces. That's probably once again from not using the iso, and when the rectifier diode blows, the fuse blows, but they must have been replacing them with whatever they had laying around... I found a 15A 32V fuse in one, a 5A 250V in another, and a wire jumpered across the fuse on another (they were all supposed to be 2A 250V). After getting them all running, two looked pretty crappy (had jailbars), so I installed a cap kit on those and now they all look really nice.

Nice collection! However like most arcade machine collectors... lack of space is the enemy!

In my opinion a garage is not for your car it is for your arcade, unless your name is Flack and have a cool "Arcade Shack" out back! Kinda like Stealthlurkers garage. Or unless you have a house the size of a shopping mall.

To free up space you could always give me that Mr Do's Castle you don't know what to do with! But I live way too far away to make this feasable...... the Gauntlet too!

    Really nice collection!
