i remember reading about it prior to the movie's release, and it was supposed to flesh out the story further. kind of sucks if it was never made, as a us-occupied vietnam civilian area would be cool, even without vampires.

Do you mean a US release? I have the JPN PS2 version from 2000.
What have you done America?
AFA the DVD goes, the back of the case said "run time: 90 mins" so I was expecting an hour & 1/2 movie. I was GREATLY disappointed the "movie" was only 45 mins.
That sucker went back to the store the next day.
"The big things that...nerds like to argue about might not actually matter that much."
You and me both brother, you and me both. When those credits rolled after 45 mins, the first thing that crossed my mind was "what the fuck?" Next came "Maybe there's a second episode on this disc somewhere..." Of course, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately I kept mine, and while it's fairly entertaining it's not worth the asking price seeing as how it's so short.Originally Posted by RJ

It's quite heavy on the Japanese. But, there is a translation somewhere on the net that should help you understand.
The game does flush out the story so much better. But, it takes place in modern day Japan, as opposed to the movie. The game is very much like playing an anime. As Production IG was involved in making the game, it has some really cool anime cutscenes in it.
The problem with the game is that Sony separated it into two chapters, and sold each game at regular price! Sure, you can play them separately, but it's still pretty low for them to force you to buy both games to completely understand the story.
I've got both discs, and I'm trying to get rid of my import stuff. If anyone is interested, PM me.
