..... How can I be sure it's NTSC without opening it? Same with Ikari Warriors. I was told that they're definitely NTSC versions.

Simple answer: you can't. The only way to tell is to open them up and plug the carts in. The boxes are exactly the same for NTSC and PAL.
What if I got an additional one that was already opened from the same batch and that was NTSC?Originally Posted by Mayhem
Basically, how would anyone ever buy or sell a sealed one?

My NTSC Asterix had a red "N" sticker on the top flap.
Dunno if that's the case with those other two though.

If I trusted that the open one came from the same shipping box, that would probably be enough for me. But, like Dave Chappelle said, I would have to be in the room with three of my buddies and a cop as the guy opened the box while holding photo ID and his grandmother watched.
How about this scenario. If I have 3 of them at the CGE and I tell someone to pick one and I'll open it and test it, would that be convincing?

Personally speaking, that'd be enough to convince me. But then again, I'm not an ultra-hardcore Atari collector...Originally Posted by D-Lite
Another case is with a sealed PAL Zelda for NES that are for sale on ebay. You cant tell which region its from. It only says European Version in front. You must open it to find out
I think that if there is no way to tell, and you are not going to open it, then dont worry about it. If you are going to sell it then state that you are unsure if it is NTSC or PAL. the only thing that I can think of is if you could get the product # and trace it to a NTSC or PAL shipment. by the way I have NO idea how to do that.
