It stands for both. Herein lies the problem using abbreviations!
Joe and I had this discussion about 2 years ago regarding Human Engineered Software and Home Entertainment Suppliers, as both put out games for the C64 and my listings were getting confusing to say the least.
From thereon in, I now use "Human Eng Soft" and "Home Ent Supp" in my listings to distinguish the two. However it depends on what is setup for the other listings and how the "background" stuff is done here to say "HES = xxxx".
Personally I'd advise anyone who has either of these two publishers in their listings to do the same thing as me to avoid any confusion
