Default Bleach: a new game from Treasure

It seems 2005/6 is gonna bring all kinds of goodness to Treasure bitches like me. The Treasure/Sega/DS collaboration continues on in full force and this time it should bring us a 2,5D-fighting game based on the Bleach anime series.

Scheduled for release in January 2006, you can already see the resemblence between Yu Yu Hakusho and this (4 players and switchable fighting planes). I'm pretty excited about this, I think Yu Yu is lovely when played with a bunch of friends.

I heard Capcom is also developing a Bleach fighting game but I think it's for PSP?

Its about time they started making fighters for the PSP, its got the perfect screen for it (and Metal Slug IMO).

I share the same feelings. If it's Treasure you must buy it!

I have been playing this game for a few days now. I went ahead and ordered it from Play-Asia.

If it's Treasure it's really great (Gunstar Heroes, Ikaruga) or really bad (Misschief Makers)

This looks like it cool be worth picking up!

To the other Treasure Bitches in this thread, have you tried Dragon Drive, Rakugaki Showtime or Hajime no Ippo?

    Cheers!

Bleach is a great series and worthy of Treasure's time and care.

Dragon Drive rates as the worst Treasure game IMO. Dull, repetitive and overall just plain uninspired. It might be because I'm not familiar with the series or Japanese but I doubt it.

Rakugaki is a fun game but it's not worth the money it goes for unless you have friends who share your enthusiasm.

Hajime is great, one of my favourite Treasure games. It shares the same kind of arcade feel as Super Punch-Out but with a bit more strategy. I don't know if it's still available but a couple of months back it was $9.99 on Japanpa.

Oh, and Mischief Makers is not a turd.

I gotta catch up on the anime and start buying the manga too. In other Treasure news, I'm really enjoying Bangai-O.

Pictures courtesy of Magic Box. Looks awesome actually; better than the cel shaded PSP game. Yu Yu Hakusho for MegaDrive comes to mind. I will certainly be preordering this because we'll never get it here. Too niche.
