Note: I dont think the Model 2 has an Eject Button.

Its been a while since I have played my trusty old SNES, but I remember nearly 100% of the time I just pull the cart out.

I never used it as a kid growing up playing it. I'd always just rip it out of the console. I always thought it never harmed it. Actually... I still don't.
However, recently, I've been pressing the eject button more often. I usually push it if the game doesn't work; I push the button and blow in it some more.
I use it. It's easier. If you pull the cart out, you have to hold the system down with your other hand. You can push the eject button and pull the cart out with the same hand. Less work.

Agreed, if there's one thing I hate about the SNES II it's the lack of an eject button. Although it has a smaller footprint, the need for more vertical clearance to manually pull the cartridge out makes it JUST fit in my entertainment center.Originally Posted by Jibbajaba

but the eject button is the way to go

I have super famicon and I Push the Eject Button only in japanese game
Like someone said earlier, it's easier to push the button than to pull the game out.
Viva la raza, y los putos que quieran pedo, que se metan el pinche dedo.
i've never really thought about what the second model looked like. who has a pic?
I push the eject button, but I place my hand gently on the cartridge so as to avoid jettisoning it into the air like a piece of burnt toast.
Depends on what I'm using. ;) When I'm using the original model, I push the eject button 99% of the time. Usually when I don't it's only because I've been using the second model for awhile.
Do You Push the Eject Button?
Funny as I never did for years. ..and I've just started to use it/do it..
.I still forget to do it sometimes but find myself reminding myself to use it.. x_x
I usually just yank the cart out of the system.
I just find it funny that Nintendo was forced to change the cartridge molds because of the amount of people not using the Eject button and possibly damaging the cart.
Me? I went for distance on the Eject Button. TMNT IV could hit the 4 feet high mark on a good day.

Is that why they changed the bottom of the cart to have the indent instead of the solid plastic across? I always kinda wondered about that, although I'm not quite sure how anyone had problems either way...Originally Posted by Dangerboy
Anyway, yeah... I was always an eject button person, although sometimes I'd have to yell at my friends when they pulled the carts out without hitting the button .

I think I do it always. But for some days I have see, that my mother have not do it. I was shocked a bit, but then I think nothing can happen when you not do it.

Being so used to pulling a cart out of my Genesis, for the first month I owned a SNES last year, I found myself pulling the cart out before realizing there is an eject button. Now, I use the eject button all the time. Pulling it out won't do any damage, but like the others have said, the eject button requires less force.
I always use the eject button, but then again I'm more used to the SNES than the Genesis.
