Default Question about ebay store listing fees

I've recently been thinking about opening up an ebay store, but have one major question that I can't find an answer to.

I'm basically wanting to list my items (in my ebay store) using a fixed price method. So say I wanna list and sell my item for $14.99. Would it still only be 2 cents if the buy it now is that price or would the buy it now feature add to the listing cost?

The basic store listing with BIN is 2 cents. You can get gallery for another penny. This is what I do in my store. $3.00 to list one hundred items a month.

But how much extra per month to actually have the store?

Also, aren't store listings not listed in normal searches?

It's $15.95 a month for a basic store. You get the first month free though. Then if the item sells...ebay gets 8% of the first $25 and like 5% after $25 per item.

I just listed 10 gamecube games yesterday and this morning one of them had already sold. It has to end up in searches somehow as I didn't advertise it.

So if the item sells for more than $25 (lets use $100 to make it easy). eBay gets 13% or $13 of it? This isn't counting the $15.95 a month or any Paypal fees you have to pay. That sounds like an awful lot to me. After all is said and done approxamately what percentage of what your items sell for do YOU actually get?

No. If your item is listed and sells for $100 then ebay would get around $8 or so. It's 8% of the first $25, then it's around 5% of the next $75.

Add paypal into the mix and you probably got about 90% of the final listed price. The benefit of the store is that it's only 2 cents to list. That's more than 10 times cheaper than a auction.

If you're only going to list a few items then it isn't worth it, but if you are going to list several hundred or even thousands of items then a ebay store can save lots of money in the end. I've decided to try it until the end of the year and see how it does.

    They are.

When you do a search, once you get to the last page, you'll get a "Ebay also found similar items in eBay stores" comment.

The good thing about ebay stores is that you can list many cheaper item that are just not worth the 35 cents listing fee.
