    Default Widescreen Treamcast???

Couldn't find a post for this.

I have been looking to buy a Treamcast, and in my search for information on it I came across a Widescreen version that has only recently been released.

(type in Treamcast on search box)

I understand that only a few Dreamcast games support widescreen (perhaps many imported games do?). Was wondering why they would release this version. Perhaps someone knows whether or not this version is superior to the standard version?

I'm guessing that they just found it cheaper, and easier to use widescreeen LCD's, as they are probably much easier to come by.

That's pretty sweet looking, though I can't actually provide any information about "widescreen" Dreamcast games.

There was a Treamcast at vgXpo, a vendor had it on display, and I can't remember what he was selling it for, but it was the 4:3 ration LCD. Still it was interesting to see the thing in person.

I wonder if some resourceful DC homebrewers could find a way for it to play widescreen films sqaushed into a VCD 4:3 format that the Widescreen Treamcast could then stretch into a 16:9 viewing experience? I wonder if there are enough of them (ws Treamscasts) out there for it to be worth the effort.

Well it's the same price as the 4:3 model, so that's not bad a all!

Cool but I like how the other one fits snug with the console
