your column is the number one reason i subscribe to tips and tricks.
That's great Joe. I just saved a copy and downsampled it to 150dpi and it took it from 9 Megs down to 1.4 Megs. It's still very legible. You may want to think about doing that. I can email it to you if you want. Just a suggestion.
Your column is the only reason I want to subscribe to tips and tricks.
GET OUT OF THE WALLS CHEATER!!!

Somebody once told me to get a life.
I told them I sold it for money to buy video games.
Thanks Joe!!! The Keeper of the Old Games
The Gaming Guy...you know...that guy!!
Wow, you people rock. You made my day! Thanks for the feedback.
Hey, I'm still working on a method to get these as low in size but acceptable in quality as possible. CongoBongo has been able to get the file to 1.5mb but the best I've been able to do is 5.5mb. I may have a solution on this though, will try this out tomorrow!
And Christian, I'll have my camera with me on the 8th!
The 5 meg download didn't take me long to get on my dial-up last night, maybe less then a half-hour at most. Great artcicles and can't wait to read the others. Heck downloading the first CC gave me a chance to read some the other articles there too.

i don't have a problem with the size at all, im able to use the 150Mbit connection of my university
but i have the same problem, my mag scans are far too big, one mag about 60MB ouch any ideas? i want them in color and of course still in good quality
I've added another month of scanned "Collector's Closet", see the link above
UPDATE.
December 2001 now online. Sorry for the large file size but there's just a lot of "imagery"!
Grab it from the link above.
This is great your column is the only reason I get that magazine. I am looking forward to reading all of the old articles.
