Default Odyssey2 w/ poor picture, no sound.

I came across an O2 (this one works, unlike my last one) last week, but I've had trouble getting it to run to its full potential. I can get a fuzzy picture (sometimes w/ color, sometimes not) and the sound doesn't seem to be working either. I've tried using the VHF clips as well as an VHF/RF adapter, and neither seems to do the trick (though the adapter gave me slightly better results). Can anyone give me some advice on how to get this thing running well again?

have you tried letting it warm up for about 1/2 hour? SOmetime the components just get old and need that extra touch. Other than that, I don't know...

By that, do you mean just leaving it on without actually using it for a half hour? Or...something else entirely?

Pretty sure he meant to let it heat up, one of my Atari 800XL's used to do that. Then again, you could always buy the boxed O2 I have for sale...

Yes, I meant to let it warm up. But, I kind of doubt that your video problem is caused by an old component in that way. More than likely, you O2 is just 'shot'. I would recommend just getting a replacement.
