    Default Strange XBOX controller issues...

I have some strange issues that kep cropping up on my Xbox. After a couple of weeks of use my controllers act like they are unplugging themseves and plugging themselves back in rapidly. (The same thing happens if I connect them to my PC.) If I let them set for a few weeks, most of the problem goes away until they are in use for another couple of weeks. Anyone know what is going on or how to fix it?

Mine tend to have "flickery" r triggers when I use them on my PC, no idea why either. Seems replugging the usb usually fixes it for awhile.

I had the same problem with my old Xbox. It would say " Please plug the controller in" or something like that every so often. And then it started happening a lot more often.

I replaced the controller ports and that didn't help. It must be a chip on the main motherboard going bad.

I just parted the Xbox out on Ebay (not the broken motherboard) and bought another Xbox.

But ask Omnedon he may be more familiar with the problem and a fix for it.

Its probably a short in the controller cord. My friend's was doing this until I fixed it. The short is probably close to the controller.

I really can't see how that would be. I have three different controllers form three different companies and all of them do the same thing. (None of them are orignal Xbox controller, however. One is a Titan, one is from Osmart, and the last is a Pelican.)

Well, if it was just one controller than It probably would be a short. But then again, if it does the same thing when connected to your PC than it is probably a problem in the controller.
