it is region free but im collecting the PAL region releases. Thanks for the thread info but his games unboxed anyhoo.

Its the games in the grey style packaging that got OZI and EURO releases, USA got the weird purple stripe boxes.

You have to be more specific then.

PAL is used in Europe and Brazil. However, Game Gear games do not use the PAL standard. They're just games.

If you want Euro games, just say so. Those two images you linked to are European in origin.

We had this massive debate ages ago. Most people agreed that when used in connection with Game Gear, PAL doesnt mean what it usually means. Lets face it, BRAZ PAL is usually very different to other regions. Whereas UK, EURO and AUSTRALIAN PAL are generally all the same in SEGA terms.
