As far as i know it has not been dumped yet.
That auction was insane. Does anyone know who won this? And will it be dumped?
I am eager to try this!

How could someone pay that much for 1 NES game? They must have a lot of money to spend! I hope it's a good game!
I wonder how much people would spend for a Mint Gold Nintendo Championships cart?Originally Posted by syd

You will not be forgotten.
Muresan is an old school NES buyer in NC. He's got quite a collection of unreleased NES stuff. And nope, he's not dumping.
He should dump the game even if he doesn't release it, just in case the cartidge rom dies
I will never understand why people would want to buy alot of unreleased games and not dump them so that others could play them as well. I guess most of the time it deminishes the value of the game, but who cares. What, are they going to be out of a couple hundred bucks, big deal.Originally Posted by DreamTR
Well.. as you said, the value might drop seveal for hundred bucks. Why should they pay $2000 then dump it for free so everyone can play it? Sure, it still have high value even if its dumped, but not as much if it was undumped.Originally Posted by imanerd0011
Not wanting to dump a rom is the same thing as not wanting to open a sealed game. It would drop alot more then several hundred. He paid what 1800? So it would drop about 1500 !!I will never understand why people would want to buy alot of unreleased games and not dump them so that others could play them as well. Yeah, I would pay a MAX of $400-500 for that game if it was dumped. And that is being generous.
On the other hand, I am READY AND WILLING to dump some of my games for Genesis, people always complained about "not being able to play" or something to that nature.
That is why people make donations for everyone else to play. Anyone wanting to play for free and complaining not being able to needs to pony up some cash.
Also, he could dump it to "save" it, he just does not have to release it.
Oh, I didn't realize it had that much of a difference in the price. I thought it might take a couple hundred bucks off of a very expensive game, not take 75% of its value.Originally Posted by Buyatari
I think that paying the person who owns the game to dump it is a good idea. That would make it possible for a large amount of people to enjoy the game, and the owner still gets to keep his pride and joy.
Exactly... Its purely being selfish if you wont dump a One Of a Kind game!Originally Posted by imanerd0011
I'm not sure if I'd dump a game like that. I guess it all depends on what I initialy payed for it. If I payed $1,800 for an a one-of-a-kind game, I'd probably not want anybody else to play it.
However, if I found something like that in a flee market for a couple bucks, I'd share the wealth.
I wouldn't think of myself as 'selfish' if I didn't dump it. Its definitely a lot cooler if you own something that nobody else has ever seen.
I think thats a little different. This is probably the only copy of that game. How many gold NWC's are there? Significantly more than 1.Originally Posted by XianXi
The only reason this went for less than an NWC cart is because some people consider the NWC an essential part of a complete NES collection. Whereas not many people consider unreleased prototypes as part of it.
Isn't there a risk of damaging the cart if you try to dump it? I think I'd be a hesitant to risk damaging a cart that I'd just spent $1800 on.
You can not deny it is a shame the game does not get dumped. Too bad. I appreciate the investment made but, I wouldn't mind paying for a dumped cart. It may be tough to recoup the investment, but why not do the old interest check, then pre-order based on final orders. If the numbers are right then dump away, if not then the gamers are out of luck. Easier said then done, I know.
Who says the owner wants to dump it even if that happens? Some people collect certain things. I think this guy collects unreleased games. You can not deny it is a shame the game does not get dumped. Agree. I dont know why some people would say hes selfish just because he dont want to dump it. Its much cooler to have something that noone else have.Originally Posted by Jumpman Jr.
Its easy to say it now, but if you (talking generally) had spent $2000 on a game and you knew if you dumped it it would drop maybe $1500 you would never do it. I can almost garantee that. Why loose that much money just so a few people could try the ROM for a few minutes?
